In 2011-2012, Russell Westbrook and James Harden knocked us out the second round in five games. Eight years later, we returned the favor. Took us half their careers to do it, but it was done.

In 06-07, Mike D’Antoni’s Suns knocked us out of the first round in five games as well.

Wasn’t Dantoni the Lakers coach at the time?

Morey really messed up. That Houston team with CP3, Capela, Moute, really had good chemistry. They took it to the champ Warriors. Look at them now. They got what they deserved.

Wonder if Westbrook will be invited to Lebron’s for Taco Tuesday ever again. 😆

Trading a PG all star who can shoot 3s and pass at an elite level not to mention IQ for an all star combo guard who can not shoot 3s or pass at an elite level made little sense to me.

If Westbrook was a good 3 point shooter ok. We would have had to defend Paul on that 3 point line. We were leaving Westbrook wide open every time and helping using his man.

It was a move I guess they made because there was issues between Paul and Harden. So far though, looks like Presti robbed Morey.

Whose career? Artest’s or Harden’s?

And Lebron got his revenge. The Heat lost game 1 in 2012 before the gentlemen’s sweep. Lebron was so mad at Russ and Harden for giving him his first title so easily that he took it out on them again. Ray Lewis style.

Too obsessed with data over the so-far incalculable feel for the game. I'm sure he saw some small sample of 5 man units that had some crazy +/- and he went down the rabbit hole of thinking if he just assembled a 5 man roster like that then he would prove his madness to everyone.

I still remember the trash talk Hardin was tossing Kobe's direction throughout that '12 series. OKC looked like an upcoming dynasty destined for several titles at the time, and I hated it. I'm still a bit amazed how badly they screwed it up.

Yeah, seeing Westbrook/Hardin go down in flames to a Laker squad in the playoffs is most definitely sweet.

Meh. It pretty much was after the end of the next season anyway.
