....that Kawhi now regrets not signing with the Lakers?

It would've been a guaranteed chip this year, near-guaranteed repeat.

But now, his entire season is in hot water.

Not sure why he left Toronto in the first place. He had the entire country rooting for him. Granted California is as populated as Canada, he ain't gonna get that love here.

Itโ€™s really as simple as Kawhi wanted to play for an LA team, but as soon as LBJ became a Laker it eliminated the Lakers as a choice.

Kawhi was choosing the Clippers even if it wasnโ€™t PG. They would have kept going down the line for trades. Maybe Beal was the next choice...

If they lose Game 7, the operative question will be: does Ballmer regret gutting the team for PG13?

The Clippers' window isn't exactly that long, given that Kawhi has an unfixable degenerative condition. LouWill & PatBev are 33 & 32, respectively. Trez & Morris are free agents this summer. Their draft pick situation is worse than the Lakers.

The knives will come out if Denver wins that series.

We'll take him in 2021 (as long as he signs in the first hour of half hour of free agency).

He had tunnel vision and it may have cost him another title or two.

I donโ€™t think he regrets not teaming with Lebron. But maybe if he could do it all over again heโ€™d have stayed in Toronto or went somewhere else.

He don't regret the weather.
He loves the heat wave and ash in the air.

He has no intention to play for us. He made it clear when he was reportedly asking guys like KD, Butler etc to play with him. We got duped for the possibility of getting him but his actions (secret meeting with PG) spoke louder than his words. Karma is a (bleep) and I hope PG and his fickle minded personality will leave him and we win the next 3 chips and he get career ending injury and fade away from obscurity.

I suspect he thinks the Clippers are going to win this year.

He has never beaten LBJ. His team has beaten an LBJ team and as you have said anyone who has won anything has won because of their team. Ergo he hasn't beaten anyone at squat.

Maybe, maybe not. But we know the narratives that have taken up residence in VLF's head like a squatter on a bench on Venice Beach.

I don't think there's anything to regret the Clippers... it took him a game 7 buzzer beater last year to win a series.. now he's got to be a superstar again.

But He should have stayed in Toronto. Gasol, Siakam, Kawhi, Lowry, FVV + OG, Ibaka, Powell is damn good. Also, Danny likely stays in Toronto so add him to that mix.

But I will say this to all my fellow Laker fans.. let's not get too far ahead of ourselves.

+ 1 He came to the Clippers with no guarantee of victory. We also know he wanted to be in LA well before he got traded to Toronto. Going to the Clippers gave him the best of both worlds. A championship contender and his desired city. Win win.

I think Kawhi is where he wanted and wants to be. He'll have another go at it soon enough but he's going to look to beat LeBron; in my O.

Raptors were *this* close to being an ECF team (and possibly a finals team) without Kawhi. With him, they would easily be the favorites and repeating would have cemented his legacy.

This year sort of showed that the Raptors werenโ€™t really all that weak last year. They just looked like an underdog relative to the GSW dynasty.
