In his prime villain days in Miami when we were rooting against him, if a Bron fan told us Lebron will still be first team all NBA in his 17th season, we'd laugh him off this board, let alone be first team and lead the Lakers to their 17th chip in his 17th season. OMG.

I realize he has to start aging at some point but as it stands now, it looks like the path to the championship goes through LeBron and AD until further notice.

Definitely not Jokic if you value defense, though I think that he is the best offensive player of that trio.

He has already started aging. He can't drive at will and doesn't convert layups like he used to either. Fortunately, he was starting from a higher ceiling and he has adjusted his game well.

Yup.

To be "declining" in his 17th year and still being a 1st team all NBA player...yeah I'll take that.

To think we would have an upgraded version of the championship years Kobe-Pau duo so quickly in Lebron-AD. In another thread I said during 08-11, I would have favored Kobe over Lebron in a high stakes matchup during those years. No way I choose any version of Kobe over any version of Lebron starting with his 2nd title to now. As much respect I have for Pau, its hard to say he is as good as AD.

Fair enough but his point is valid. Jokic is the best offensive center in the league and maybe the most complete one ever if you include his 3 pt ability.

Different league. Different team. Different mindset. So I don't compare.
I'm grateful the Lakers of old brought us championships. And I'm hopeful the Lakers of the present and future do the same.

If I am reading the votes correctly. There was one person that didn't vote Anthony Davis to either of the 3 teams lol. I always hope people like that get their vote taken away. Just vote for the best players don't try to use your vote to fit whatever agenda you have.

We're had more 1st team combos than anyone:

Lebron-AD
Shaq-Kobe
Kareem-Magic
Baylor-West
Mikan-Pollard

Also some 1st-2nd team combos:

Kobe-Gasol
Kobe-Bynum
West-Wilt
Mikan-Mikkelsen

I would not because of his defensive liabilities and his lack of athletic ability/conditioning.

Nuggets fans and possibly one person on LG are upset because Jokic made 2nd team and Davis made 1st team.

Had to have been an oversight or confusion about his position or something.

More likely an anti-Laker bias.

They both deserve it.

In my opinion and I don't just say this as a Laker fan, I really thought LeBron deserves the MVP and that AD should have been Defensive Player of the Year.

And I love Giannis, but I really did think LeBron was better overall in a tougher conference this season and that AD was overall more impactful on defense.

But seriously. Whoever left AD off all 3 teams should never get a vote again.
