PG13 for Westbrook.

PG hates Harden so isn't going to work.

whats so special about Darren Collision? after getting screwed around last trade deadline, we still looking to sign that fool?

Because he's still probably the best PG the Lakers can get in free agency.

just draft 1 with 28, keep playoff Rondo around and spend MLE on a defensive wing

Get Collison
Resign Markief
Keep Playoff Rondo
Get Harkless for MLE.

Thats a pretty good off season haul.

Add that with most likely internal growth of Kuz and Caruso and the buy out market.

Ah, right. You hate Danny Green.

I think they should keep Danny Green, hopefully retain Markief with the BAE, and use part or all of the MLE on an initiator (Dragic looks like the only initiator worth the full MLE and he's unlikely).

Clippers should trade PG + Lou + pick for Ben Simmons + ptbnl.
I think PG and Lou need to go back to the least coast.

why would i hate Danny Green if he produced? his production on the court doesnt matchup with the salary.

I would absolutely keep Kieff and i am fine getting an initiator too

You can’t convince me Clarkson would turn down the MLE from the Lakers if we offered it.

Personally I might prefer Alec Burks at half the price

With the salary cap basically staying flat for the next 2-3 years, do the Lakers give up on the 2021 plan?

With a salary cap of $109, I don't see how we get anywhere close to a max unless Lebron is willing to give up $20m.

No to Clarkson, yes to Harkless. I don't think Jordan can handle NBA finals pressure, as seen two years ago in Cleveland. Harkless is 27 (fits the Davis timeline) and not a thirsty scorer, he'll stay in his lane and focus on defense. I think Clips made a mistake in trading him for Morris, Harkless is the type of player that helps team chemistry because he doesn't demand touches. And while his 3 pt shooting is not the greatest, he is a good cutter and wing defender.

The second choice is Justin Holiday, a 6'6" wing that shot 40% this year. I'd also look at Andre Roberson. I see the Celtics as the biggest threat in the near future and the Lakers will need to upgrade at the wing to continue to compete for chips.

Denzel Valentine is restricted. I have not seen much of him but he has playmaking chops for sure. Do the Bulls let him walk?

Yea no weak benches, and he's not getting any of those calls during the playoffs.

I would love to add Harkless and Mathews. Our team D would be even better than it is now (which is the best in the league).

Read Langston Galloway is a free agent.

He could be a cheaper Avery Bradley replacement for next season, and someone that could play off AD, Lebron quite well. Fit in Franks system.

Can hit the 3, has long arms, can do some ballhandling, 28 years old. Sounds about the type of guy that would fit in what the Lakers do.

I will also bring back Cousins again. I still think for how much we can sign him for, he is low risk high reward type of signing.

The guy can shoot and have too much skills for a big. He could still probably move better than Jokic defensively. It's just about staying healthy for him I think.

Harkless should be our #1 priority. I think his game really fits with LBJ and AD.

I would definitely be all for bringing back Pornstar Control at that price. He’s become a much more efficient scorer since two years ago. He’s basically becoming a slightly better defending Lou Will.

I don’t think we will go after a defensive wing at all though. At least not in free agency unless he’s used as a mentor for another player.

We will likely use our draft capital to draft a point guard in the first round. THT is likely going to be used as our guard-wing combo due to his unique physical size and length and will get more rotation minutes next season. Really proud of his progress.

My first impression of this off-season will be:

- Lakers draft Jahmius Ramsey with the 28th pick.
- Lakers resign Markieff Morris to a one year + team option (although I could see him looking for a bigger deal elsewhere)
- Lakers either resign Cousins or Aron Baynes. Baynes would definitely be a great fit here in my opinion.
- Lakers upgrade Talen Horton-Tucker’s minutes next season as a SG/SF combo.

Honestly, if that's the guy, throw away the pick and save the cap space.

More likely?

Giannis to Lakers in 2021.

Beal to Lakers in 2022?

I say the latter. And I wouldn't be mad if we planned accordingly.

Agree w all of this.

Clarkson has improved a lot. he was huge for Jazz. He turned himself into one of the top off the bench heaters this year.

I think Clarkson (who's repped by Rich Paul) would love a Lakers return but i could deff see getting him 2/24 or 3/33 range vs our 1 year 9.5m offer

I see no way Giannis comes to Lakers (or Clippers).

I think its Bucks or Raptors. I really think there's a good chance he stays w Bucks personally.

My hope is between now and 2022 we can acquire a Dinwiddie type -- a "half star" and then Beal in 2022.

He retired.

Then he thought about coming back and didn't.

I don't think his head is in the right place to play basketball, and be dependable enough through a long series. I think he would have opted out of the Bubble if he was a Laker.

If he wants to join on a minimum deal, great. If not, so be it.
