Dwight >>> Javale for this series. Dwight's energy and physicality really frustrates Jokic. |

Stop throwing our small lineups at the beginning of the 2nd and 4th quarters. I love Kieff, but he is too small |

Next game is a must win. I would start Dwight and have AD finish the 1st quarter at the 5. Start Dwight at the beginning of the second, build energy before Jokic returns then guard him, then sit him the last 4 or so minutes, AD back at the 5. No McGee. |

He hasn't found that right balance. He'll go too big, where we have no spacing.
Or he'll go too small, where we just got devastated on the boards. We were dying last night with that small lineup, and had such little offensive output when he had Rondo/AC/LBJ/Kuz/Mook out there. That lineup was out there for a long time and just got killed on the boards. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The Nuggets were kind of giving up the perimeter to protect the ring and rebound and we just could not hit 3s. We just need to hit some 3s to break their defense down. We can do it, at least for a few games and luckily, we’re 2 games away to win the series. We rebounded strong in Q4 but just one or two plays away from a come back. This time they have the luck. Let’s keep it up! |

Meanwhile, we also have to find a way to slow them. We gave up 30+points apiece in first 3 quarters and committed too many careless turnovers. We just have to play smart and with care. We can do it. We’re just kind of too nervous. Relax down and play with confident. Stay calm and take advantage of their careless. We did it so well in game 1, game 2 and Q4. We’re a better team with better stars. Just be confident, play smart and play with care |

We just played like a team that didn't mind coughing up a game. Sort of a "we'll just win later" mentality. I'm sure that is going to be brought up in film session. I expect this team to be a wrecking ball in game 4. Like a blowout. They sometimes "need" these losses to wake up. Usually that's in game 1. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Curious - when LA was dominating this team they were playing the same way. And won. This is a super big team but athletic. They have the same flaws when they play super big. When it gets into a slower halfcourt game, they can not get a flow on offense unless they play post up ball OR their bigs are very active off the ball (lobs, putbacks, rolls etc).
What we have seen is a shift from our bigs. They are not playing with the urgency they were in game 1.
The small ball with Morris at the 5 has not worked in this series. But I think what we need is some patience.
One thing about Vogel. He usually takes a loss to really teach his team (and figure out himself) what they need to do. I think he understands that there was no urgency in our bigs and all players really in the last game (until late in the game). That must change tonight. Second, Vogel needs to make some adjustments to his lineups, but more than that, he needs to tinker a bit with the D and O so that we have some more success.
Lets see what happens. This is the beauty of playoff basketball. I am happy Lakers are in this position again, that we are even talking about all this. Vogel, Malone. Stevens, Spoelstra. These are some big time names in the coaching ranks, Vogel is gonna deal with. These are well coached teams. Malone made some good adjustments in game 2 and his team has come out with urgency in game 2 and 3. Now its our turn. |

Great decision to start Howard and play him big minutes. He contain Jokic quite good. Some of the rotations were strange but still we won so I will not complain too much. |

Great game plan: we started Howard and the result was control the rebound again which gave us many second chance’s points. Besides, we play good defense on Jokic, allowed him post up but took 3s. We’ve also played adequate defense on Grant, blocking him well from offensive rebound. We’ve also played good defense on Porter and Morris, they’re dangerous scorers indeed.
We’ve played good defense and our superstars took care of the scoring |

We won this game overcoming some terrible coaching and lineups.
We should have been up double digits for most the game yet Vogel can’t commit to going big.
Against the Nuggets you can’t play Rondo, Caruso and KCP together unless you have two shot blockers. You especially can’t play them with Morris.
He really should have gone back to Dwight early in the 4th and put away the Nuggets when they went small and then forced Jokic to box out Dwight with 5 fouls. |

can we give vogel some credit?
He started Dwight.. which gave us a huge head start.
He figured out the zone works against DEN. Doc rivers never made any adjustments..
He's a defensive coach.. and our defense has been great. |

Agreed. Our defense is really great. Nuggets have their superstars duo. And Grant, Porter, Morris are all tough guys. We have kept them control well so far. Jokic had to post up, not taking 3s. Murray had to cut in and finish, not 3s nor dished out. Grant haD to take 3s, not second chance points. Porter was double teamed......really great team defense |

Okay, props for starting Dwight. But shouldn't Dwight be a supposedly defensive minded coach's wet dream? So, why didn't Dwight play the 4th?why was frank still going small ball to finish the game? I'm assuming he wants to space the floor with more of a 3 point threat?
Regardless, D12 should have still gotten some run in the 4th. |

The team came out flat in game three and the Nuggets played a lot harder in that game. |

Dwight's better than any permutation of Mcgee. Kind of an insult to Dwight tbh to be even compared to that bum. _________________ KOBE |

Yea did not understand Vogels game plan there in the 4th... Extending Morris minutes and not playing Howard. Morris committed a lot of stupid fouls in the 4th. Also Howard was such a huge boost that you have to reward him.
Only guess I have is that Rondo was playing well and he did not want Dwight in there along side Rondo and Lebron. He decided to go with Morris instead of Kuzma. |
