Bye Doc!
Wait, what if they're just going out on a date. Too vague, Woj!

He has to put it word for word how the clippers want it or else the check doesn’t come in!

That's right!
What's your guess on who Kawhi and Clint hire?

Petty Popovich... the Laker hater.

There's a negative chance that happens. Pretty sure Pop hates Kawhi and likewise from Uncle Dennis.

Chris Mannix: the Clippers should at least call Phil Jackson. LOL.

Never mind that Phil and Jerry West hate each other, but Phil is a Laker and would never go to the Clippers. I know that West went to the Clippers, but, yeah, Phil wouldn't go to the Clippers.

Imo Kawhi doesn’t hate Pop. He soured on the Spurs organization because the medical staff fiasco and they refused to give him the supermax.

Pop has no control over that. I think Kawhi would be ok with a reunion tbh.

We clearly don't have the assets for Lavine, but can some combination of Green + Kuzma/McGee/Cook/#28 get us Otto Porter? He's obviously overpaid (especially to come off the bench) but it would only be for a year before his contract expires after which he could be resigned for much less.

He's an effective and versatile wing defender who shoots 40% from 3. He has thrived in the past as a #3 option (behind Wall and Beal) and can easily close alongside Lebron and AD.

Use the MLE + BAE to resign Dwight Β± Morris and go after a PG that can occasionally initiate.

Seems like a huge overpay.
BTW, my fave Otto moment:

This actually makes a ton of sense. Harden would love him.

Doc will probably get back on his feet in Indiana? Or some pathetic team will hire him thinking he knows basketball.

Doc Rivers had two years left on his contract, sources tell ESPN. This is a challenging coaching search for Clippers, who are the ultimate win-now team. Among top candidates in the marketplace: Clippers assistant Ty Lue and former Rockets and Knicks coach Jeff Van Gundy.

Yep, take Lue.
And stop mentioning Van Gundy pls. He's done.

Unlike the buss family ballmer is all about innovative moves. I can’t picture he hire Phil Jackson or any other old names.

Doc was actually good as a broadcaster. I wonder if he just goes back to that for a bit.

I would put money down (not really) on Ty Lue. Why else would he not have really gained any traction on other jobs? Ty Lue over there would be desirable considering there is some serious doubt that Lue deserves credit for that championship

I wonder if the source is Ty himself haha

Sources: Names that will come up to replace fired Doc Rivers; Clippers assistant coach Ty Lue, who supposed to interview for Philadelphia 76ers job this week, and Jeff Van Gundy.

Ballmer is all about making big splashes. I don’t think he will entertain the idea of JVG, MDA or even Ty Lue. Maybe some big time college coach?

Anyone else feels Doc is 100 times more likable now that he’s no longer clippers coach?
