If he wins another championship as Playoff Rondo - definitely a Laker |
This is a serious question....has there been any dropoff for this guy since his Boston days when he comes to play and is focused in the playoffs? Back then he never felt like a real threat to me especially since he was nowhere the threat that Westbrook posed when we had Kobe defend both. Now he just picks defenses apart. I dont remember him doing it all that much with Boston or really being a factor much at all. It was the gravity of Ray's shooting and Pauls bucket-getting that was the key for their offense |
I remember when they clinched the title against us and he had a big game. I thought he was playing under the radar but he was doing a lot of small things. especially at the defensive end. He can full court trap barely breaking a sweat. Only Kobe can dribble through him and Tony Allen. |

I (bleep) can't believe Rondo is a Laker playoff legend now! That's how great this run was. What an amazing turnaround in the playoffs, and he consistently impacted every series in a very meaningful way. We could NOT have won this championship without him. Major props to this man... |

Love Rondo. I hope he stays for years to come and becomes part of the Lakers coaching staff down the line. |

Rondo made it very clear again that he wants to coach during the post game interview tonight.
Heck, frank should hand him the clipboard one game next year and say "okay Do... You coach this one". |

True point guard and he showed it this series. I don’t know how much he has left, but I’m enjoying the run. He’ll be a hell of a coach in a few years _________________ "Friends can come and go, but banners hang forever" -KOBE |

This may very well be true. Playoff Rondo is for real. So enjoyable to watch in the post season.
19 points tonight ... Butler scored 12 and Rondo took him to school in that first half. |

Great player, love how he plays and thinks the game. Bonus pts for his hatred towards CP3. _________________ Smrek 2, Nevitt 1, Barkley 0 |

I was shocked at the end of the game that Rondo outscored Butler by a decent margin! In what world would you have expected Rondo to outscore the oppositions best player in the closeout game of the Finals?
An absolute beast in every series he played and deserves every bit of praise he gets and some. He was always the one Celtic from those 2008-2009 teams that I still liked quite a bit. As far as Laker roleplay legends go he's officially on the list after this Playoff run. |

Rondo just added another weapon in his beef with CP3.
"Scoreboard 2-0!!!"
And I don't think CP3 will ever reach the Finals, unless he lucks out and ends up on the Heat. _________________ “Properly read, the bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.”

Played defense too. Amazing game and playoff series. BIG part of our title.
And a year ago some of us thought it was either Caruso -or- KCP -or- Rondo.
Never dreamed that all 3 would play such a key role in our winning this title.

The fact that Rondo didn't just win another ring, but won it while being one of our most impactful players against the Rockets, Nuggets and Heat, puts him as a certain HOFer
A huge turnaround for him, I'm so happy for the bloke. He might be most iconic as a Celtic, but geez his impact as a Laker now is definitely more than any other team he's played on _________________ #18 next... |

Rondo was questioned all season.
People wanted DRose.
Others.
Vogel believed in Rondo. Called him a 20 to 25 minute integral part.
It was all a vision.
When your vision becomes reality, and it is from hard work. That is just beautiful to see. |

Nothing against Bradley, but having fewer options can be a blessing. Rondo didn't have to split as much time and had dedicated minutes. So glad his thumb healed properly. Didn't think a title was realistic w/o him. _________________ Smrek 2, Nevitt 1, Barkley 0 |

Man, I just keep coming back to this particular thread. I love it, "legend of Playoff Rondo." Like, for real, this is seriously a legend that will be discussed for years, and we all saw it. |
