Good morning. According to @JaredDudley619, Rondo’s bball IQ is on par with LeBron’s. Through his film study, he was able to figure out Harden’s and Jimmy’s tendencies to help formulate defensive game plans to shut them down https://t.co/5Wa0KnNrlE
I want Rondo back. His ability to dissect film is on Bron's level. I'd hate to see him go.
Me too. I can see him as a coach for the Lakers when his playing career is done. My favorite memory is the pass he made to Anthony Davis who then hits the game winner against Denver. The camera shows him walking off the court nonchalantly as his teammates are jumping up and down in the background. He has the soul of a champion.
IT's his 3 point shooting that has baffled me. Phil Handy has worked on his shot but will his shot be there if there were no bubble?
Will Lakers win the title if not the bubble? Reminds me of haters asking that while giving pass to Clippers saying they didn't even want to be there.
Rondo shot 42% from 3P in 2018 playoffs so it's not all that baffling that he can hit wide open 3s now.
Kinda like Jason Kidd did later in his career. He became a threat with his 3 ball.
Rondo ball hawking Harden, Murray and Butler in this playoff was a reminisced on what Pippen used to do . That took a lot of time for other teams to set up their offense. Rondo was also on another gear defensively in the playoffs and that’s an understatement.
I can't express how much joy I got out of Rondo straight out picking Harden's pocket...twice! I use the words straight out because he wasn't sneakily going behind his back. He straight took the ball after watching, then timing Harden's crossover dribble.
I don't think Rondo will be Byron Scott as far as hard ass "foxhole" tactics. I mean Rajon won't be a lovey dovey, kumbaya type of coach but he did tell lebron to stop rolling his eyes when like kuzma did something stupid. Saying lebron is these young guy's idol. Don't crap on them. Positive reinforcement.
Yeah, Byron wouldn't say that. Haha!

I'd like us to sign rondo to a short term cap friendly deal and segway that into an assistant coach position. He seems to have good rapport with Vogel and the rest of the players.
Dude is a basketball genius, but his prickly, stubborn personality will always hamper him if/when he goes into coaching imo. It'll be interesting to see him try to make that leap when his playing days are done.
Resign this muthr f’r! Lebron need to get his GM skills rolling
Big loss considering how him and Lebron worked together and dissected the playoff series on every angles to an already impressive in series adjustments that Vogel made. That will be more more apparent comes playoff. Not happy about his Clips intention but NBA is business first so he owe to himself to look for his best interest.
Rondo initially has all the control to be on the Lakers next season - ALL HE HAS TO DO IS OPT IN!
Here are his: 2019/20 stats: 7.1 ppg, 5.0 apg, 3.0 rpg, 41.8 FG%, 31.8 3P%
Nothing overly impressive.
He missed 20 games last season and 36 the season before that, just how much does he think he is worth?
His 2020/21 contract is for just under $2.7mil and since his career earnings are currently $100,187,547, if he has managed his monies, and extra 2 or 3 mil won't make that much difference.
PLUS: If he sticks with the Lakers, he might just get his chance to be an Assistant Coach!
So I hope Rondo and/or his Agent don't get greedy and OPT OUT!
If they do - then all bets are off, Lakers will look at their needs and their available money and then decide if they want to bring back an injury prone guy, that performed well in the playoffs OR if they want to go in a different direction... _________________ “Always remember... Playoff rondo exists because of Lebron and AD.
If some idiot team pays him the full MLE like the Clips then all power to them.

No playoff Rondo existed way way back.
Clips needed him more than we need him so if he can get that money from the Clips
