I guess this is as good a place as any for this but I wasn’t aware until today that the league has issued luxury tax relief this season. That really benefits GS and Brooklyn.

Warriors plan for fans

"Warriors fan plan includes $30M for testing
The pitch to the state of California and local officials in San Francisco includes the most accurate form of COVID-19 testing for every fan, Warriors employee and player for each home game or visit to Chase Center. Lacob told ESPN the team is prepared to pay for it at a cost of up to $30 million.

They would use rapid PCR tests or the equivalent, a recent offering that turns around results in 15 minutes and are 99 percent accurate. They are far more expensive and less readily available than the more invasive, and slower, rapid antigen tests..."

Allowing fans into the luxury boxes with rapid testing makes sense. That is where a large part of their fan revenue comes from, and each box is isolated.

Sources: The NBA is targeting Dec. 11-19 for 2020-21 preseason and teams have the option of requesting three or four games. Each team must host at least one home game.

If Paul ends up in Phoenix, the Pacific Division will be brutal (Lakers, Clippers, Warriors, Suns and Kings). Usually divisions don’t mean much. But the NBA is said to be trying to limit travel this season and at one point brought up teams in the same divisions (which generally means closer geographically) possibly playing more games against each other, at least in proportion to non-division opponents.

We are months away from the vaccine distribution.

I get that people are excited to get back to normal, but can we not wait just a few more months?

It's crazy that we had more outrage about OJ killing two people in a jealous rage, than killing 240,000 people due to neglect and political agendas.

Is it because they are mostly old? I bet some thought, oh well, at least we don't have to pay as much social security and medicare money.

Even after vaccine distribution, Fauci says we still have to wear masks and social distance so I don't think it will ever be back to normal.

Lakers-clips is most likely opening night.

With the short turnaround, NBA will probably keep the “Final Four” at home for the first couple weeks of the season. No surprise they’re all at home for Christmas.

So with Clips and Miami off the board, and the Warriors out of title contention, the NBA and networks want to create another challenger for ratings. Luka is going to be an MVP candidate and the Lakers-Mavs OT game in Dallas last year was one of the best games of the regular season.

It’s a smart long-term choice to start building up the Mavs and Luka.

Plus, that allows Denver-Clips as the late game, which is a great game for that time slot.

I’m excited for it. Should be a great game. No need to see the same matchups every year. Also happy we aren’t the late game.

Yeah. I still remember the prime time Lakers vs Celtics games in the afternoon

Seems like they are keeping it a secret. A Laker player could have it for all we know.

A little over 11%. Seems like they are keeping it a secret. A Laker player could have it for all we know.

Math correction: it's actually only 8.7%
10% of 546 would be 54.6, so it kinda jumped off the page

I do not know if I should look forward to any games in the RS until the pandemic is over. I mean, each game could change schedule or a G league team could show up in place.

I really hope the playoffs are played in the bubble again, if the pandemic is not in control by then.

RS will be tough to predict this year. We may end up with some really flawed seedings.

Sure. It's personal medical information. We aren't at the stage where teams need to disclose who is and who is not available to play for the next game, so there is no reason to release this information.
