Sessions and Schroder are not even on the same level at all. If you watch Schroder play, he's a stud. A really, really solid player. Fearless, quick, crafty, tenacious, etc. He is very very talented and watching him play with the toughass Chris Paul, probably made him even better. He's young but he's smart.....

If you look at the stats, Schroder alone already averages more than Green and Rondo combined...combined!!

I think this is one of the better trades the Lakers have done in a while. Kudos to Pelinka.

Are we going with Dennis The Menace as the official nickname?

I've been a fan of his and watching some highlights has me pretty pumped. I think he'll play at least 30 MPG either way, but are we thinking he'll be the starter here or lead the bench mob/spell LBJ?

The way he dyes that one patch of his hair always reminds me of Rogue from Xmen

Aside from the accented or stressed vowels in their first names, I don't see it.

Well they have some similarities like getting to the basket but Schroeder is great in it, while Sessions was just average. Also Sessions couldn't shoot if his life depends on it. I would say Sessions defense was better than Schroeder. But overall DS is way way better player. But I kind of liked Sessions, sad he didn't stick for longer period of time.

I went to undergrad with Michael Jordan. Yes he was a 6 foot point guard for my university.

Always thought that if Sessions had stayed with the Lakers, Mitch would not have pulled the trigger on Steve Nash.

GT can now talk about Schroder:

Quote:

Best scorer we've had at the PG spot since Van Exel 😀

On his D:
Quote:

Better than I thought at the point of attack. He's pesky and competes. But he's small and I think elite wings (Kawhi, KD, Jimmy, etc) would pick on him if given the chance in a playoff series.

He's one of the fastest guards in the league.

I think Lakers fans are gonna be blown away by how fast he blows by defenders.

I agree with GT.

Dennis is basically a Nick Van Exel clone.

Next on first take and undisputed we discuss the potential rift between Schroder and AD after AD posterized and kicked Nerlens Noel. Will this acquisition make AD sign with Chicago?

Schroder is one of the quickest PG's in the league and can take advantage of bigs when he's switched onto them 1 on 1. He's a 3 level scorer, improved playing off the ball and much better as a spot-up shooter playing with other players that needed the ball in their hands with CP3, SGA, & Gallo on the Thunder, so won't have any trouble playing with Bron & AD. Yes, wing players will try to get at Schroder on switches come post-season time, but if the Lakers can survive and thrive with Rondo & Caruso who are small guards as well, I don't think Lakers will have trouble with Schroder who has the ability to be as effective and good on the defensive end like Caruso & Rondo were in the postseason imo. Plus, his defense will get to another level with Vogel imo. Lakers aren't at a disadvantage anymore going forward at the PG position, as Lakers now have dependable scorers at the guard position with Schroder, the wing position with Bron, and the big man position with AD. I absolutely love this trade and have been huge on Schroder for years since he got drafted by the Hawks, so extra hyped about this deal. Lakers might have their PG going forward for the next 3-4+ years imo.
