Rondo and Dwight. These guys went from "washed" and "unwanted" to premier Free Agents. Rondo cemented his HOF career with another Playoff Rondo run and Dwight's redemption story was amazing (we also don't take out Denver as easy as we did without him.) I also like Bradley, he was another "washed up" player that reminded the world he's a pitbull on defense and started regaining his shooting towards the end of the regular season. Shame we couldn't keep him. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011
For all of you out there questioning Jimmer Fredette of BYU, he is the real deal. - Magic Johnson Mar 20, 2011
Never thought I'd say this, but JAV. Pretty clear he kept the locker room light. Always took demotions in stride and was the most boisterous teammate. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Take Bradley off this list. Dude quit and then bailed. JR played a bigger role in the title.
Honestly, I will miss all of them (except Danny).
Cook seemed to kinda be the heart of the team. The guy that everyone loves, has handshakes with, always positive, etc. Big part of chemistry started with Cook and his love for Kobe and Lakers was heartwarming. Will never forget him crying in DTLA with he rest of us.
McGee was also huge for chemistry. Every game he broke the huddles with one if his mini sermons. Also watching every one of his Vlogs, he clearly was nothing up upbeat and keeping everything lighthearted. This team is going to miss that. Lets see who steps up.
Dwight will be missed. He was the best version of what we could've expected. And despite concerns of him possibly destroying the locker room, I think guys really galvanized around him. Also seeing him defend KCP on ig was pretty cool.
Rondo. Man on man. One of my fav players in his prime I love his non-celebratory, quiet killer demeanor. His IQ combined with LeBron's was off the charts. Gonna miss having a guy that Kobe also respected so much.
Our talent upgrade is huge.. massive. But going to be interesting to see who fills into those guys roles.. who break huddles pre-game, who keeps guys together, etc. For that reason, I think Dudley is a good idea. Be that glue.

Never thought I would be such a huge Rondo fan. Hated him when he was a celtic. Became a huge fan of him as a laker ever since Lakers vs. Rockets and he stepped up to CP3. Would love to see him back on the coaching staff in LA someday.

Rondo was huge for us in the playoffs, but most of LG wanted him gone in the middle of the season. Schroeder is basically a younger version and I can see him bringing the same type of impact off the bench.
Marc and Trez>Dwight and McGee
Dwight could bang with anyone but if I remember correctly he got outplayed by Trez in regular season matchups. Marc is a key X factor. If he’s in shape and ready for big minutes, we will have better spacing then last year. Lebron Plus two big man that can shoot and defend and 3 point shooters at the guard spots is going to be very dangerous.
Wes Matthews=Danny Green
Pretty much the same player with Wes being more athletic, but a little shorter. Danny was pretty much just a fill in the gap starter and excelled in that role with his spacing. I expect Wes to be the same.
I will miss the:
- genius and legend of playoff Rondo.
- redemption and domination of Howard.
- smart team D of Green.
- blocks and camaraderie of Javale.
- brotherhood of Cook
- on ball D of Avery
They worked together as a team, carried themselves with humility, had each others' backs, and were a showcase for chemistry.
Rondo and the cheer squad of McGee Dwight Cook and Dudley _________________ “God knew they couldn’t be on this Earth without each other. He had to bring them home to have them together.” – Vanessa Bryant
Dwight. He did everything the Lakers asked of him throughout last season and truly earned his way to a championship. Frustrating that he left again, though I can understand it.
The rest - I won't miss. Rondo was nice, but expendable in my mind. He had a great playoff run, but during the season, he was awful.
Would've been nice to get Avery Bradley back, but we proved we could win and defend without him during the playoffs, so hopefully his departure doesn't haunt us.
