This is obviously Harrell
Dwight brings rim protection, but I think there's a reason we didn't put a formal offer to him. We wanted to 1) get younger, and 2) shake up our center rotation so that it became more dynamic offensively, and both Dwight and JaVale were victims of this. Harrell (as well as all our other signings/trade-ins, bar probably McKinnie) were clearly targeted from a long way out
From an offensive standpoint, Harrell is lightyears ahead of current day Dwight. He might not have provided the necessary defensive production in the past, but having Gasol and AD beside him helps with that a tonne (it doesn't help your cause when you have Zubac, Marcus Morris and JaMychal Green as your fellow PF/C's)

Love what Dwight brought defensively to the team. I wish he had more good offensively. Dwight was the energy off the bench. Montrez is a energy player who would likely come off the bench. Offensively he’s a lot better than Dwight today. But I believe Montrez has the physical ability to be a very good defender. With that said if Montrez is giving us 19ppg and 7rpg. I have to assume we’re a better team.

come on. Thats the difference. You certainly would blink and Luka would have a hard time surviving the league. Especially with sponsors etc. Cancel culture would be picketing mavs games |
