Kuz can hopefully slide into the backup SF position, how about this as a second unit:

PG: Caruso
SG: THT
SF: Kuz
PF: Morris
C: Harrell

Assuming Matthews and KCP are starters

Denis
AC
Kuz
Kief
Trez

Well, we will have more rights than we did this season so it's possible. We did KCP a solid for being flexible with us over the past few years.

Also, I do think it helped his brother resigned with the Clips so they can stay in the same city.

This is an important signing for us. He ate up some C minutes and was key to the five-out lineups that we used with AD at the C. He opens lanes for LeBron, gives space for AD, and now Schroder can feast in a five-out lineup. He'll give us some much needed continuity with all the new players added. Also, we don't have to give Gasol heavy minutes in the playoffs or regular season. There will be match-ups where our small ball lineups can play extended minutes and guys like Gasol can take a night off. And, conversely, if AD needs a night off, you run Gasol at C and Kieff at PF for good stretches.

Kieff was huge for us in the playoffs to dial up the right lineups when Howard/McGee were issues. Assume the same with Trez.

This makes everyone better at what they do and fewer stretches where weaknesses are exposed in the playoffs.

Kief Morris is the last big piece of the team.
Kief brings a lot to the table.
He can play both PF and small ball center.
He is a two way player.

The Lakers got him way under his value. Probably because he wanted
to stay in LA near his brother and win another chip.

Basically, with this addition, there isn't a style of defense or offense the Lakers can't play. The only exception is we've lost some shot blocking, but even Gasol can still provide some of that and, of course, AD will.

I don't think this team will even lose anything defensively. It might be a little different defensively, but it should be relatively on par (if not better in some ways given that Mathews and Shroder are better on ball defenders than their predecessors).

Kieff is like the final nail in the coffin for the rest of the league to me. This team should be insanely good... like '17 Warriors good.

There are still 2-3 spots left.
Plus there are boat-loads of trade-able contracts for later in the season (or the longer term).
Really, I can't imagine a better execution.

When your foundation is AD/LeBron, that is amazingly flexible on both ends of the floor. The highest level of impact. Now, you find players with various strengths and weaknesses to their games, but can all do something a little different. That gives you even more flexibility. Add to that a coach that rolls out a deep rotation during the regular season and is willing to mix and match as needed in the playoffs. Flexibility allows you to morph into what you need to be in any given playoff series. As a result, what you get is a higher percentage of two-way impact minutes in the post season and that's what it's all about. Assuming health, this team is very, very tough to beat with all that in their favor.

Yup. Even Gasol can play 5 out. We have so many dimensions to this team now.

I'm thinking that for the most part of the season, unless the game is in the bag, Vogle leaves Bron or AD in at all times.

KCP, Schroder
Matthews, Caruso, THT
LBJ, Kuzma, McKinnie
AD, Morris
Gasol, Harrell

After the championship, the Lakers go deeper and younger this year. Guess they may sign Cousins. Can’t wait the season to start

Damn, surprised he signed back for cheap. We were willing to pay him more, too. Gotta give him respect for making that sacrifice to help the team. He was really great for us, and will look nice in virtually any lineup. This team is super deep

You know, if you leave the hyphen out of re-sign, the word has an entirely different meaning. I looked at this thread title and thought, "how can an NBA player resign from a team?" It's very confusing.

Yeah it's pretty obvious who the rotation 10 are

PG: LeBron - Schroder
SG: KCP - Caruso
SF: Matthews - Kuzma
PF: Davis - Morris
C: Gasol - Harrell

With THT as 11th man, I'm hoping, I reckon he can start to become a rotation piece at some point this season

With such a short turnaround to the next season, the more impact players on the roster the better. 6 through 10 are going to get more minutes than you'd normally see.

Lebron will be load managing heavily this year I'd imagine which should open up plenty of PT for THT and some additional minutes for guys like Morris.

Hell if THT plays like he did in the playoffs he might be in the rotation day one, he looked damn good on both ends.
