All is right in the world when the Kings resign Hassan Whiteside. He continues on that excellent tradition of underachieving bigs, previously occupied by the likes of the great Pervis Ellison and Olden Polynice

How about Pau taking a Dudley role this year. Maybe playing 10 minutes a game here and there as needed.

Of course the clippers are interested..... because the Lakers are.

The Lakers should leak that they are interested in Westbrook, Jeremy Lin and Bruce Bowen.

Jake Fischer of B/R:

Quote:
Bogdanovic was communicated as Antetokoumpo’s preferred addition all offseason.

When word arrived last week of the Bucks’ Monday night coup—agreeing in principle to acquire both Jrue Holiday and Bogdanovic in the waning hours of the league’s renewed transaction window—there was an overwhelming sense around the organization, and people with knowledge of Antetokounmpo’s thinking, that he would accept the Bucks’ supermax extension offer—the ultimate objective of the franchise’s 2020 offseason.

A week later, Bogdanovic plays for the Atlanta Hawks, not the Bucks. And there has since been a categorical step back in the Bucks’ confidence in getting a long-term commitment from their superstar, even if Antetokounmpo ultimately accepts the franchise’s offer of a five-year, $228 million supermax extension.

Maybe I'm being shortsighted but I really want Cook and Dudley back. Those 2 plus a big man.

I've read mixed info on if we could even sign Cook but I do think those 2 were a huge part of our culture last year and bringing them back would bring a sense of continuity.

Filling out the rest of the roster, I think the Lakers would want Jared back. Cause of chemistry and the man has been recruiting for the Lakers. He got us Wes. And we all want to see Pau back and have him retire as a Laker. If the Lakers want a wing player, how about Michael Kidd-Gilchrist? Former #2 pick, NCAA Champion, known for his defense in college and still young at 27 years old.

Glenn Robinson III 26 years old averaged 11 PPG and shot 48% FG's and 39% from 3.

Gerald Green - Didn't play last year cause he undergone surgery to repair a broken bone in his left foot and would be sidelined for approximately six months. 2019 he play decent off the bench.

Thabo Sefolosha - 36 year old veteran who was 2010 All-Defense Team

Iman Shumpert - 30 years old but hasn't shot the ball well especially his team 3 point shot. Numbers went down since 2018. He was a 2011 ACC All-Defensive Team. 3 & D player but his shooting numbers worry me.

Marco Belinelli - Points went way down cause of his minutes went down. But still shot 37% from 3.

Allen Crabbe - Had a great few years shooting the ball but hasn't been the same since having right knee arthroscopy surgery last year.

Andre Roberson - Hasn't played much since having ruptured his left patellar tendon in 2017. Doesn't have a jump shot but he is a great defender and still in his prime at 28 years old.

Yuta Watanabe - 2018 Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year. Didn't play much with the Grizz but during his 2 years with their G-League team, he averaged 15 PPG 48% FG's 34% from 3 82% FT 2 APG 6 RPG 1 SPG 1 BPG. And his favorite player and team is Kobe and the Lakers.

Which wing player do you guys want the Lakers to take a chance on?

Cook's a great guy but I don't think he will be back. There seems to be a lot of chatter about Dudley coming back though.

I'm rolling with

McKinnie - defensive SF 6 7". If he doesn't live up to it then wait for Ariza to be cut before the deadline.

Dedmon or Maker - center. Would be nice to get the shooting Dedmon? Who knows but he should play better here. Maker would play well with AD ala Mil.

Harrison a big 1st or if not him Napier would do I guess.

Whatever two players we sign next will likely be sitting at the end of the bench.

I think it's important which guys we have on the floor during garbage time.
Most likely dont want our 1st and 2nd string guys on the floor.

Cameron Payne - if healthy a more pure pg than Napier

Larkin and Konate are currently playing overseas. Not sure when they could come over but Denver just signed a PG playing for Real Madrid.

Shane Larkin - Trey Burke with a 3pt shot???

Sagaba Konate - Only 6'8" but great shot blocker, very strong, and appears healthy

edit: Payne's option was picked up by the Suns.

Simmons and Kawhi would be a terrible pairing.

If I am Rob I would check in which condition is Jeremy Lin. I think he still has something in him. He is 32 and I am sure as extra ball handler he can contribute. Also he is is nice guy to have around, good in locker room presence and he is quality player for that role.

Anyone here on the thon maker train for our 3rd string center? Former lottery pick, still young at 23, legit 7-footer, can spread the floor, lots of upside. Relationship with GA doesn’t hurt as well. Could be Handy’s next project.
