Its only 4 games into the season, but I truly believe this team and this fan base will realize just how valuable all of these players were to that title winning team.

ESPECIALLY Dwight and Rondo.

I already feel that way I don't mind losing rondo so much, because we have Dennis, who is a definite upgrade over rondo.. But despite whatever Marc Gasol may or may not be able to provide, I continue to believe that our championship aspirations are gonna fall squarely upon our ability to have athletic center in the middle. Dwight Howard's absence will haunt us. Weather or not we will be able to overcome his absence remains to be seen.

If either Dwight or Javale were still here this team would look so different. Losing both is a big hit. Anyway, playing AD at center in the playoffs is like our ace up the sleeve. We can always go to it when we need it and he's our best center anyway.

I’m only missing Dwight to be honest. Regular season rondo was terrible.

James Worthy actually said it after tonight’s loss, Lakers miss the activity of a Dwight or McGee against a team with bigs like Nurkic and Kanter

Worthy said last night something to the effect that what Lakers will miss from Dwight and McGee is their activity to contest and block shots around the rim. But he noted that Montrezl on the other hand, defends by putting his body to take more charges.

However, charge/block is a 50/50 call from the refs that a player can't control, Montrezl is not going to get those charge calls all the time, while contesting and blocking shots are more controllable and more tangible.

We are missing that vertical intimidation. Feels like teams are just attacking us at the rim now.

I wonder if Philly would trade Dwight back to us.

They BARELY even play the man.

This.

Partially because no Dwight/JaVale.

and the other part is AD is not playing with that mindset yet.

Sixer fans love Dwight, can’t say the same thing about Danny though.

Sorry it didn't work out for Dwight, I think we will be alright though. We are probably going to pick up another big in February, when we have enough room for another Vet. Min. Whiteside may get bought out, and we go that way.

I miss the team having multiple PnR lob threats. Harrell's pretty ground bound and Marc's never been able to jump over a phone book.

I know people here are missing Dwight, but look at what JaVale's doing, he's producing almost double the number Dwight is!

JaVale:

10.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.0 blocks, 53% FG, and 50% from 3s and he's now attempting 1 per game!

All this off the bench!

Cavs are also 4-2.

Very nice for McGee, at least if he has to stay in Cleveland for six months, he gets paid decently and gets to play.

Danny Green has made at least 3 3’s the last 3 games something we rarely ever saw last season because he was so awfully inconsistent, players shoot better when they aren’t on the Lakers

Funny thing is we have A Davis #5 @1.9 bpg and MGasol #14 @ 1.4 bpg in the first 25 leaders in blocks. Not a sight of the "intimidators" on that list.

BTW, what amazes me is so many players bouncing from the mountain 🏔️, LOL!!

Also was 0-6 on 3pt shots after the 5:35 mark of the 4th quarter and OT.

Remarkably he had 5 offensive rebounds in that same stretch, all of them off of missed 3 point shots, two of those his own missed 3s. Missed 3s love Danny Green, the ball just gravitates to the dude after clanking off the rim apparently.

Aside from injuries, one of the biggest reasons we lost was losing so many key role players, 5 of them!!!! You also have a short training camp, no time to get chemistry with the new comers.
