With losses by Phoenix and the Clippers, the Lakers now have the West’s undisputed best record at 6-2. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Hard to feel great about it; it's a weird season so far. Raptors are 1-5, Knicks are 4-3!
Still, I'll take it. Nice to have in the face of clear evidence we're not on all cylinders yet.
But some Lakers fans who are afraid of the flippers is saying that flippers are better and the Lakers is just lucky they have a soft schedule and they beat the Dallas with no Porzingis

I’ll take every win, good, bad or ugly. A win is a win in the standings.
Lakers getting these wins when playing poorly is a plus. They need to build some cushion for when the adversity inevitably hits them later in the season.
Lakers need to stop turning the ball over, settling for so many 3s and start putting together consistent defensive efforts for entire games. That type of efficiency and effort can carry them. Until they figure that out, I’ll be happy with the wins and early #1 seed.

We have had the benefit of a soft schedule. Every team we beat had a key injury (Aldridge, Morant, Porzingis) You can’t take anything of value away from the record. _________________ Darvin
1-2 in 3 games against last year playoff teams. And we've been playing against teams without their best players. Not that impressive. I'm not sure if I should be happy or upset with the result. Still not sure if this team is better than last year's team. Need more games. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!

Would you have preferred for us to lose to those teams? _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns".

No, but that has nothing to do with the statement I made. _________________ Darvin
Last season, we didn't get our 3rd loss until game #20. We're definitely not the same team as last year. As we play more competitive opponents, our weaknesses get exposed. So far this season, we've played 4 competitive opponents and we've lost 3 of those contests.
This team just doesn't feel very dominating. _________________ LeGoat! LeMazing! LeGend!
Records aside, I remember having a similar feeling during the previous season. I often felt like the Lakers struggled even with teams that are not that good, having to depend on Lebron to save the day, and having to play catch up on many games.
A positive is we know that our players (Lebron, AD especially), coach and front office hold themselves to a high standard, so that's what I put my trust in.
Seem quite a few are panicking with our play, but it’s going to be that way this season imo specially early. You can see from the whole NBA, other teams are having a hard time getting up for games and they are not the champs where team gives us there ‘A’ effort every night. Chicken little syndrome is a little early, we still have the best record in the west. No fan on the stand seems to have a grave affect on the energy displayed on the court, you can see it all over the league with all the upsets.
If we are going to play like this in March I will be concerned. Before that I really, truly dont care. Team is quite new with many new players, off season was short and we played until the end of last season. We will be more than OK. Our record in regular season is not important anyway.
