Why don't we pick him up off of waivers? A big that can stretch the floor and block shots. Plays very well against other bigs especially Giannis. Thoughts?

Remember when some wanted Vonleh instead of Randle? I remember someone using the word “stiff” to describe Vonleh during his rookie year. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
The Lakers are hard capped so they can't add him without waiving Cook.
If he's still available after the trade deadline and the Lakers don't pick up anyone else, he would be a solid option to add to the end of the bench. _________________ Under New Management
I watched a lot on Knick games when he played for them and he looks like a pretty good pickup if we can get him for the right price. His career free throw percentage is 69% over 335 games. So if we had to play him during crunch time (for whatever reason) he would probably make most of his free throws.
He is listed as 6' 10" and 257 pounds so he could match up against guys like Nurkic.
I think Vonleh's biggest problem is that most team's he played for expected him to be the third of fourth option on offense. With the Lakers his role would be to body up against the big centers, play defense, get rebounds, and dunk the ball.
So if he is a good locker room guy and he embraced his role, and if could learn (and execute) the Lakers' defensive scheme he would be a (for the right price) good addition. _________________ Later,
