Also where is everyone getting this idea that Oladipo has been bad this season? He’s been better on offense than Levert and not bad defensively either. And Levert isn’t injury prone?

Will be interesting to see what happens with Kyrie and their ML. A still prime KD/Harden duo is legit given the right pieces.

Oladipo has been better, yeah, but that's not saying much, since he was a disaster last season. It just appears to me that he's a solid player but not a star, and that he basically had one star season that was an outlier. (He made the All-Star team two years in a row, but the second year he wasn't playing well and it was basically a result of his previous season).

Given that LeVert is under contract through the '23 season, it would seem pretty clear that he represents more value, no to mention that Oladipo is going to want a lot more money per year.

If Kyrie didn't pull this stunt he could fetch two or three good complimentary pieces. Not sure about now. Thats why I don't buy this narrative that he went off the grid to force the Nets hand.

Nets all the way up to +300 to win the title now. We're still the favorite, unchanged at +240. The Clippers and Bucks are both +800. No other team is below +2500.

Just checked, and a Kuzma for P.J. Tucker swap doesn’t work cause there is a 10M difference in contract salaries and even if we could have traded him for Tucker no way I would do that trade so the only way we can get Tucker is if a team buys him out later in the season.

I don't think we can trade Kuzma until next season because of his contract extension.

This owner has ruined the franchise. He didn’t get one young stud or one great draft pick. Oladipo is expiring (likely why he wanted him instead of Levert) and the picks will be near 2nd rounders. All the picks will likely be worse than the ones we gave up for Westbrook. If Simmons was on the table you take him and let Morey win.

Props to Harden for getting free though. I see he hired an agent to get a deal done. Nets are legit title contenders.

Ben Simmons sounds more exciting then Victor Oladipo that’s for sure, getting Simmons + Maxey + Thybulle and the picks and swaps would have been a very nice haul.

It woulda been, but the owner is more interested in shaving payroll. He avoided any LT salary. Mission accomplished.

I can see Donald Sterling under that disguise. He can't hide from me.

Willing to sit out for what?

I don't get this dude. Honestly one of the strangest athletes in the history of pro sports.

VegasInsider has the Nets at +270, right behind the Lakers at +260.

Still surprise Nets only had to give up Lavert and Allen for Harden... Definitely thought that they would have had to include either Dinwiddie, Harris, or at least Shamet.

He’s a shooter who hasn’t shot very well for a while and makes $19M/yr this year and next.
