I actually like this Kuzma, not trying to force a score (THT still does), content with focus on defense/board. Plus at $13m, he's a good trade asset. Good job so far Kuz |

Kuzma proved me and everyone else wrong. He’s turned into an all around player and championship piece. So glad we kept him _________________ “like I never left”

If you told me that 20% through the season that Kuzma would have more double doubles than Harrell, I’d think you were crazy. |

Double double. 11 points and 13 rebounds. Led the team in rebounds. _________________ Nobody in the NBA can touch the Laker brand, which, like the uniform color, is pure gold. |

He is really putting in effort on the glass, on both sides it looks like. I really hope this effort is a constant. 13 rebounds off the bench? Damn. |

With the loaded roster this is pretty much the ideal way we could have hoped Kuzma would look. Somewhat of a swiss army knife and doing a little of everything without hardly any forced shots. He's becoming a player that provides positives even when the shot isn't falling. There's no way i'm trading him this season at least.
A very underrated aspect i've noticed to start this season is the huge improvement in both Kuz's and especially Caruso's passing. Kuz tries to get a little fancy sometimes but i'm loving the all around game. Rebounding is awesome to see as well. I'd like to see him found on cuts a bit more often but hopefully that improves as the team continues gelling. |

He’s also consistently getting a block or more each game. He’s figured out how to use his length for blocks and rebounds. Instead of leaking out on breaks, he’s doing the dirty work lately. He’s not getting the ball as often, so he’s crashing the boards.

Love the defense and rebounding and shooting. I hope and think he will keep this up. On another note, what happened to his ability to finish around the rim? It felt elite in his first two seasons. The drop in shooting (now back up) I can understand. I miss those beautiful hook shots. |

The paint was often open, but now it’s clogged and nobody’s making it a priority to find him cutting. The running hooks were nice and he should use them more. More space more often would help. |

He's so under control now, Kuz, AC and KCP been championship role player level so far. Montrezl been that 6th MOY as advertised (thought it was gonna be Kuz but this guy's motor is high gear). Schroeder been as advertised also. Gasol been better but him and THT have another level we can expect. This team is deep |

This was a very good game from him, possibly the best overall game for this year. |

Despite the crap he gets, he’s actually had a pretty good year so far. Slowly starting to carve out a role on this team after not knowing what the hell his role was last year |

Playing the 6th man role player role very well. It's the role that is best for him.
Under control, off-ball, not trying to be a star or dribble too much. Just waiting off ball to be set up, cutting to the basket off ball and being good for 10-14 points a game. _________________ How NBA 2K18 failed the All-Time Lakers:

How many 6th men do we have now? (Great to have for sure). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

I always thought playing the low-usage Odom role off the bench would be his calling on this particular team. He's nowhere near as talented as Odom, but just speaking to the role. Crash the boards, find the open man, take opportunistic shots on high efficiency, solid defense, etc. |

Inking that new deal with the team has been very beneficial for Kuz imo. Not having to worry about showcasing himself and padding his individual stats for his next contract has done wonders for him. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

We can anticipate the same calming effect on Schroder after he inks his new deal. |

Kuz shot attempts this season been way down, career 13 attempts down to just 9 attempts this season. Shooting 40% from 3’s making 2 per game is much more efficient.
He’s doubled his block average per game from 0.4 to to 0.8 so almost 1 block per game. _________________ |

I like the Odom analogy - I was sort of thinking like a Rondo type role- being more of a facilitator, doing the unexpected, defense, key rebounds, passing to guys for open looks, and still scoring 10 ppg off the bench. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions! |

Odom was a playmaker though. More like the Horry archetype but a better pure scorer. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

The rebounding has been good the past couple games. He had a stretch like that mid-season last year too. Hopefully he can keep that up. The three things that earn him more playing time for me are three point shot, defense, and rebounding. He's been improved in all three this season, and he's also taking less bad shots. |
