Dennis has taken care of the ball and taken a lot less shots.
5-11 FGA (Win vs Bulls)
3-10 FGA (Win vs Houston)
6-9 FGA (Win vs Houston)
A few games ago even with AD in the lineup his FGA shooting was 8-16 (Loss vs Portland) 6-15, 4-13, 5-15 etc.
There has been far less forced shots, and more patience. The best plays were the 1-3 S&R game with Bron in the Chicago game. Something has clicked since then, and we are seeing him play on a completely different level, not looking to shoot the ball or force passes that are not there. Patience ... It is great to see. |
clearly better than Wall... wonder where Schroeder is in the PG ranking, gotta be top 10 |

Now the offense is starting to kick in. Props to Dennis and the coaching staff. Stud 2-way starting level guard play right now.
Also great to have THT-Caruso, because when or if there is regression in those decision making or what have you, you can always lean more on them. This team has legit 3 combo guards after Bron, and that gives them so many different looks to opposing teams. We can match up with teams in so many different ways. Special. We need is Bron-AD to peak at the right time in the playoffs, and these guys around them to play their roles with 100% effort. Not at all surprised by the ass kicking they are giving teams like Houston, because this year they are that much more talented on offense. |
Well said wolf! |

His on ball D against the Pells is really tough. He is so feisty and in their face. Usta hate playing those guys. |

The young colt is settling in real nicely next to James & Davis, and the others. I'm so grateful for the feature on my tv that allows me to pause and go back for any program. I found myself pausing and rewinding the parts of the game where he's defending all the way up the court.
He's got an ability to read players a bit like Rondo. He reminded me so much of Rondo when he stole the ball on back to back possessions. Rondo did the same thing to Harden in the playoffs.
He's absolutely a keeper. |

His defense has improved a lot under Vogels command. Schro is becoming a complete baller and a vital part of our future success. |

Schroder has increased his intensity on ball and I like it a lot! Changed the flow and f the game last night. Creating those turnovers just kills a team and leading to the easy baskets to keep the Lakers energized.
With him, KCP and Caruso keeping pressure on the ball handlers it helps this defense thrive.
Love when they play defense like this. Keep being the tip of the spear young man. It is working. |

Our best point of attack defender. I knew he would start adjusting his game around LBJ and AD. Less careless turnovers as of late and I expect that decision making to improve over the season. Really pleased with his progress. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Dennis the menace has been great.
Can’t teach his speed or mindset. Vogel is correct that the turning point for last night was his energy. DS ignited the team. |

When his shot starts falling, we will be unstoppable. _________________ On Lakersground, a concern troll is someone who is a fan of another team, but pretends to be a Lakers fan with "concerns". |

Schröder and Kyrie have had some competitive battles in the past. AD and KD are a good matchup. LeBron and Harden .
The Laker-Brooklyn matchup should be a fun one. |

If the starters cancel each other out then our bench should pounce on theirs. Trez, Kuz and Caruso are building the chemistry which gives us the best 1-8 rotation in the league and can defeat the top heavy Nets. |

A 2 yr extension fits nicely if they match a THT deal with inflated 3td and 4th yr numbers. Dennis looks like the real deal out there. |

Yup. Then you have AD and Bron terrorizing the paint. _________________ D'Angelo finals M.V.P |

I think he's turned down the 2 year extension already and waiting until he can extend for longer next month. |

Given how DS is playing. Would anybody trade. Off season straight up... DS for Lonzo? (Assume salaries work ignoring we probably cant accept S&Ts next year anyway. All in theory). |

Nope. Love Lonzo but I fear he would have the yips come playoff time with his jumper. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

So glad we got Shroeder. At least we have a 2.5 against their big 3.
DS will make Kyrie play some D - especially once we smooth out the Shroeder and AD/Trez/ pick and roll. _________________ Lakers fan since that Magical day June 25, 1979. |

DS =.5 , Trez =.5 Total=1.0. We're good! |

Yes Schroder is way more dynamic in offense but defense is more important in playoff. |

Wouldn't even think about entertaining that imo
Lonzo might have a slight edge on defense but the offense of Schroder is another entire level or two above Lonzo and makes us extremely dangerous on both ends plus he's also not injury prone. Most importantly though I think he's a significantly better fit on this specific roster. This is coming from someone who's actually a fan of Ball.
Schroder hasn't even found his stroke yet which will def. only get better. |
