It is not as much of a dream as you think. NJ may very well decide that they need to rebuild and take an Iverson-type of deal, which we can offer. Plus, how many contending teams need a PG? I put our chances to get Kidd at 35%. The longer Garnett does not get traded, the more I think he will opt out and sign the MLE somewhere. He has made more salary than any player in pro sports over the past 10 yrs., and he is hard to trade with the contract. He will wait to see if the Wolves can develop next year, and when they fail to make the playoffs again, he opts out. He'll then have options, but he will team with Kobe to try to win some rings. Chances? 40%. You guys do the math, one of those hapenning may be possible. This is where BEING THE LAKERS AND BEING IN LA really helps.

The most important thing is that we have to be ready with a very good team , and that KG has to think that his help could put the Lakers over the top.
