Don't sweat it, Twitter and texting has already done its damage to the written word. People don't really care unless autocorrect does something funny.

Also for my second shot, I've already got an appointment, but she told me just come back anytime on that day and I should be good. So maybe I should go earlier in the day instead of after work in case supplies get limited.

The place where I went apparently has a bunch of extra doses. And it's not because they overordered, it's because people aren't getting them at the rate that they should. Without getting too much into politics, it's a conservative area.

My second dose got pushed back 3 days...to the 11th (this Sunday). It seems there's a delay in getting the allotted doses for my vaccine place: a community center in National City (about 10 minutes from downtown San Diego).

I'm getting Pfizer.

California says it will fully reopen in June, citing falling Covid-19 case rates

Quote:
(CNN) California, the first state to implement a lockdown for the coronavirus pandemic, plans to fully reopen activities and businesses beginning June 15, state officials said Tuesday.

Falling infection rates, low hospitalizations and rising vaccinations are reasons this can be done, state Health and Human Services Secretary Mark Ghaly said.

it’s impossible to separate reality and politics. Let me rephrase that. It is impossible to separate politics and willingness to accept reality.

Pretty significant. CDC Director Walensky says the UK variant is now the dominant strain of coronavirus in the US — not just the most common among the different variants. "It is the most common lineage, period."

Where Do COVID Vaccines Stand Against the Variants?

Quote:
March 30, 2021 -- As the virus that causes COVID-19 continues to evolve, drug makers are racing to adapt their vaccines to the changes in the virus' genetic code that appear to help it escape our immune defenses.

Of the three "variants of concern" recognized by the World Health Organization and the CDC, studies have shown that the mRNA vaccines created by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna, as well as the Novavax vaccine, remain highly effective against the B.1.1.7 variant, which was first recognized in the United Kingdom.

I'm now two weeks after my second dose of Pfizer and still don't really feel like I can go back to normal due to all of these variants.

Even after full vaccination, EVERYONE IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP MASKING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING AND AVOIDING LARGE CROWDS ESPECIALLY INDOORS. The only thing that's changed is you can visit with other friends who are fully vaccinated inside your home without masks in small groups.

What part of the vaccine is supposed to change you being a socially isolated incel?

Someone already made this joke two posts above you. Not very original.

It's a valid point -- he should use the term "baseline," not "normal."
