Oh, and his wife.

you know why it didnt work out for him in Memphis and NYK?

Not head coach material. Rave reviews about him as Spo’s right hand guy though.

What happened to him with the Knicks? Not a people's person? Anyways, I think of assistant coaches as clipboard holders and not much else.

“Take that for data!” with the desk pound has got to be the greatest post game interview ending since Denny Green’s rant.

The more I think about it the more I get excited about the hire, this dude was highly respected by a lot of NBA players and is supposed to be good with defensive and offensive schemes, if we can just now bring in someone like Alvin Gentry or someone like Stan Van Gundy for offensive purposes that would be great.

love how undercover the org is. no one heard of this move. So when rumors are being spread we have a pretty good idea they arent from us, or involving us.

I don’t think they’ll be adding any more coaches.

1-2 assistants might go to Dallas with Kidd.

They will essentially have to if Kidd takes some of the Lakers assistants with him to Dallas.

Yeah hopefully Rob has Stotts and Gentry in mind if some others follow Kidd.

Stotts likely to be named Magic HC and Gentry is still an Assoc. HC under Luke in Sac so maybe Brooks is best offensive mind available?

Not sure if Becky Hammon is supposed to be elite with offensive schemes but that’s another name you can add to the coaching staff.

Pretty sure if the Lakers called Gentry to come join the staff he will run at the speed of light to be apart of a winning culture rather then being stuck on a treadmill situation.

A lot of a team’s identity is who gets minutes. Vogel is always going to require a defensive contribution. So just adding a D’Antoni of sorts isn’t going to do much when you don’t skew the rotations to fit the offense. In that sense I like the Fiz hiring. He’s going to think of defense as a prerequisite (fitting Vogel’s approach) but can add to our offensive approach.

Listening to Lou Will talk about their coaching staff last night made me jealous

Saying they make sure every player is game ready every minute of the season. Game ready! unlike our tards who can't even make a shot in the playoffs SMH

Pretty pointless info, Marc Gasol is getting up there in age so even if Fizdale and Gasol have a close relationship it’s likely that Gasol won’t have much Impact on what Fizdale does for our team.

Yeah, just trying to make a dumb joke and I see 250 people on Lakers Twitter beat me to it.
