Yeah, he's not shooting well, but it reminds me of how Jason Kidd was a bad shooter for a long time. Kidd would often shoot something like 6-of-15 but have lots of rebounds and assists and up-tempo the game, and all that would make up for his poor shooting.
Unexpectedly, our 3-point shooting is lit so far this season. |
Kidd's IQ was worlds ahead of Westbrook, though. |
Yes it was, but the fact that Westbrook is only our 3rd best player will dampen the negative effects of his poor shooting nights. He just needs to limit his turnovers and impulsive 3-point shots off the dribble.
Plus we have two of the highest IQ players around in LeBron and Rondo. Kidd's Nets teams never had anything like that. |

Kidd was one of the best defensive guards ever. Westbrook is borderline bad at defense but he’s been contributing in other areas. _________________ If Brandon Knight were to come out, I would take him number 1 in the draft. - Magic Johnson Mar 27, 2011

Second best of his time and all time after Payton at the PG spot. And he could defend up 2 positions after he aged. |

It was so great to see Melo ball like that tonight. Even though I loved Kuz, I never had much confidence in his scoring ability once the spotlight was on him. With Melo you know he's got the confidence to fill it up. |

Ja Morant will torch the Lakers for 32/8/12
If Lakers win, I will buy some random Lakersground member 2 tickets, section 300 to the next home game |
Ugly win. I was somewhat close, and if Morant sinks that last free throw, it's OT and maybe Memphis pulls it out.
I will honor what I said |
I’ll take ‘em. I’m pretty random 😁🤓 |

Love to have that lethal of an offensive threat off the bench, Melo is going to be huge to this team's success. |

The Lakers had an offensive rating of 81.8 in 14 minutes with DeAndre Jordan on the floor last night.
They had an offensive rating of 134.3 in 34 minutes without him.
For the season, they’re ORTG is 97.7 with him on, 110.3 with him off. |

keep putting themselves in a hole playing that dumb lineup
if you're gonna be playing that big you gotta dominate the boards otherwise whats the point. |

Yeah there is a reason a team starved for bigs in the Nets dumped him.
Starting to wonder if a promise was made in FA that is forcing Vogel's hand. He might be stubborn but he's not a moron and always preferred spacing lineups. |

Lakers have wanted to return to a dual shotblocking defense, and more size. They didn't like the look of their team with Gasol/Trez.
Rob's made that very clear.
As for starting, think they want to save AD from banging all RS long and playing that physical nature of the 5 where they need a lot of hard screening on offense as well. Look at how some of these 5s are built. Adams. Jokic. Ayton. AD has the length to play with them and speed to outrun them. But he isn't the physical player they are. |

The Lakers won this one in spite of the weakest link. The big lineup fails, benching a hot Melo, wasting energy having Bron bring the ball up instead of Rus to start the offense. I could go on and on but I'd only be repeating my criticisms of Vogel. A win is a win. Let's keep it going. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
