SBLakers are coming around. Mason III, C. Brown, Queen, J-Huff, McClung, Dr. Doom, Cam Oliver appear to be a solid team. Coach Simon has some really nice pieces to work with.
If he can develop these guys properly this should make for a fun and exciting team in SB.

GO SBLakers!

Queen and Oliver are at that age where they need to decide whether to give the NBA one last try or head overseas and earn some $'s. McClung needs to totally reinvent himself as a point guard otherwise he will be another Kyle Guy reject. Not sure if he is up to it. Gleague seems perfect for Brown to develop a relationship with a team.

We had the 1st overall pick as well as the 1st pick in the 2nd round before trading it away for Mason. Had we kept the pick, I wonder if we would have chosen LiAngelo or Lance during tomorrow’s G-League draft.

The G League draft is tomorrow at 1pm. Some of the more recognizable names eligible to be selected by any team include: LiAngelo Ball, Lance Stephenson, Karim Mane and Jonathan Kuminga's brother Joel Ntambwe.

In a three-team trade, South Bay has acquired the returning player rights to 2020 G League MVP Frank Mason III while sending the returning player rights to Reggie Hearn and a second-round pick in the 2021 Draft to the Memphis Hustle and a first-round pick in the 2021 Draft to the Delaware Blue Coats.

Looks like Mitch bungled up the procedure in keeping LiAngelo’s player rights within their farm system, so he can be swooped up by any other team’s gleague affiliate. That being said, any team can still give LiAngelo a standard NBA contract…they just can’t offer him a 2-way deal.

Quote:
Rod Boone @rodboone
Turns out the #Hornets do not have LiAngelo Ball's G League rights after all due to a procedural issue, source confirms. So he's eligible to be selected by any G League team in tomorrow's draft. He can still be drafted by Greensboro and could wind up with the Swarm.

According to J.D. Shaw of HoopsRumors, former Indiana Pacers star (and fan-favorite) Lance Stephenson is entering the G-League Draft.

Quote:

JD Shaw @ JShawNBA
Nine-year NBA veteran Lance Stephenson (@StephensonLance) has signed a contract in the NBA G League and will enter the October 23 draft,
@HoopsRumors has learned. Stephenson last played in China.

Andre Ingram back as South Bay Finalizes Training Camp Roster

Quote:
Harrison Faigen
@hmfaigen
The South Bay Lakers just finalized their training camp roster, with the expected names of Chaundee Brown Jr., Frank Mason III, Mac McClung and Cam Oliver on the team.

A semi surprise? Longtime SBL vet Andre Ingram, re-joining the team for a 13th G League season at 35 years old.

Thanks for keeping this thread up to date. Not sure why I can't find the info but will the games be televised via one of the espn channels?

I'm not sure about regular season but select games MAY be aired during the Showcase Cup, a 14-game competition culminating at the NBA G League Winter Showcase from Dec. 19-22.
