why don't we go back to play big when teams are clearly attacking our small lineups? at least give it some run with Dwight and AD.

Davis +8

Because DJ is out of the lineup and DH is our only center left when AD is on the bench

Not saying Vogel is necessarily on the hot seat, but at this point why not just go with what's familiar.

With Bron back, let's go

AB
Baze
Bron
AD
Dwight/DJ

Then let Russ lead a bunch of shooters on the second unit.

What's the harm? At least he's making adjustments, and other FO and players should also respect him for doing what's right, instead of just catering to star players..

Vogel has his issues, but the downgrade to Fizdale after Vogel gets scapegoated is going to be ginormous.

Indeed, but I wonder what the buy-in nets. The Lakers are not showing it with Vogel. As posted by Cranjis, they have strong offensive concepts that produce highly efficient results (~116 o-rating). For whatever reason, they get away from them and just play ISO ball to starkly middling success. It sometimes seems like the team doesn't want to succeed under Vogel. Would they keep the same offense in place just commit to it more?

I expect there'd be a standard dead cat bounce, but I can't see Fizdale sustaining it through the playoffs. Heck, I don't think prime Popovich could overcome the structural shortcomings of this roster.

He's done. They've completely checked out on him.

I'm pretty sure, not positive if Vogel is fired, Scott Brooks will replace him.

Thank you. Pop would have this team humming right now compared to this dumpster fire.

Pop the GM would never have constructed this team in the first place.

Maybe. But we're talking whether there's a coach who could make even this roster work.. and obviously there is.

I don't think it's at all obvious. Unless the standard you're setting is just winning against bottom of the barrel teams like Detroit & Minnesota & OKC - yes Pop could do that, maybe even get the team to play .500 ball overall.

Feel for the guy cause the during the roster construction he was probably left in the dark, but this right here is a fireable offense:

Quote:
Statmuse: The Lakers are 9-10. They are:

24th in net rating
25th in offensive rating
20th in defensive rating
28th in points allowed
29th in turnovers per game
20th in threes per game

They have trailed by 25+ points in 1/3 of their games this season.

Woulda been 5 straight losses and an 0-4 roadie so far if Detroit hadn’t puked up mom’s spaghetti & shot themselves in the foot after getting the jump on us.
