Bron just forgot he is not Brady
If Lebron were Brady, he would take an extremely large paycut to help the team sign other players.
Then again, Brady is married to a wife that’s richer than him. So that helps too.
I always wondered why more star players towards the tail end of their career don't take pay cuts to maximize their chances of winning. I get it, get the bag, but they have tons of endorsement deals with income coming in daily. At this stage of Bron's career it should be about legacy. Neither here nor there. _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant

Isn’t Bron the VP of the players union? For awhile now he’s been about players getting as much money as they can. Hed look like a hypocrite if he took less than what he could fetch.

Tom Brady is making 25 mil per year while because of the loopholes/signing bonus of NFL salary rules, his cap hit is only 10.5 mil

so what extremely large paycut did Tom take?
also Lebron's net worth might be higher than Tom and his wife combined given his success in his business and that Nike lifetime deal (1bil), but that's really insignificant to talk about.

nobody appreciated Kobe for taking 23 mil while he could take 34 mil per year for his last contract. if i am Lebron, i'd take a paycut to ensure my team if competitive, but to think he will take something like 10mil per year is pure fantasy.
Thank Pat Riley and the Miami Heat if Bron never takes a pay cut again. He promised he never would when he took one in his literal prime to bring in Mike Miller. They then traded him to save money. LeBron was livid and I’m convinced he held a grudge and that was one of the reasons why he left.
Lebron is underpaid for his contribution. There's no one player in the NBA where you could definitively say he would dominate in the playoffs. Not even KD is that reliable. Lebron is over-contributing by about $30M with respect to his contract while WB is under-contributing so they even out. In other words, Lebron should be making $70M while WB deserves $15M this year.

I saw that and it was one of the most ridiculous comparisons tbh.
The Bucs had years of high draft picks and guys develop into pro bowl caliber players. It was a young, up and coming team that just needed a QB. Sure they got “ring chasers” in Antonio Brown, Gronk and Fournette but it’s not really the core of their team. That was already established prior to Brady joining.
The Lakers are the antithesis of that. Piss poor wasting of assets and trading away or letting go of young rotational guys for “names” and old, declining have beens.
If we are talking football comparisons, The Lakers are more like those old Washington football teams that would sign up old Deion Sanders and Bruce Smith.
Good thing Monk and Reaves happened or this team might be closer to 10 wins than 21 wins.

Russ went 1-7 at the rim last night...
Ouch. Before this bad 3 game stretch, he wasn't much better. Maybe going like 3-7 _________________ “You can't be held captive by the fear of failure or the fear of what people may say.” - Kobe Bryant

And we probably won that game if he went 3/7, lol
To be fair, some of those attempts were tough shots. Russ was driving into 2 or 3 guys, off-balance, side of the basket, etc. Now why he put himself into those situations and still thought it was a good idea to shoot is a different issue.

Have you seen Curry's contract? He is setup to get paid an average of $55m per year from age 35-37... At 37 he will be getting almost $60m. One thing about Lebron is, he's already worth over $1B... He might be willing to take some pay cut. Maybe around mid-level max.
Russ is in a slump for sure, but there is a correlation between the slump and reduced turnovers. Maybe you just let the dude play. I'd rather see him super aggressive with 4 or 5 turnovers rather than passive with zero or 1

I honestly no longer have any words that will give justice to how GOD awful Russell Westbrook is.
The Lakers have royally (bleep) themselves. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.

But...the slump has been since the start of the season.
If he keeps slumping or struggling in the clutch, expect fans at Crypto to start booing a la Kwame. Local player love only gets you so far in this city.
He better sacrifice and start giving a (bleep), or LA will hate him and he will wish he never decided to come to LA as a favored son.
If you don’t win, you aren’t remembered fondly. So as an LA kid, hopefully he does a better job of reading the room. This isn’t OKC, Houston or Washington.
