The FO will not consider a AD trade until he comes back and still is struggling to find his niche, if he can comeback by next week when he’s re-evaluated (speculation is that may be the case) then that would give the Lakers enough time to consider there options.

Should have stopped your sentence at will not consider an AD trade.

That was my own take, and yes it’s highly unlikely Davis is traded unless he comes back and the team is still struggling.

Lakers should consider dealing AD this offseason and approach LeGm and see if he's interested in winning a title with another franchise next year.

Recover some assets/picks and have a clear payroll worksheet in 2023.

I realize they'll run it back and sign another 10 league minimum guys and be bad again next season.

No player threw themselves into AD’s knee, he was pushed by Lebron. Tough to explain the other 6-7 seasons of injured AD.

i agree with this as well. building a contender with LeBron is fools gold after this season, the guy will be 38 next year. AD isn't the guy you want to build around either, he's just not dependable and i also question his desires. wipe the slate clean would be the smart move after this season.

Keep in mind that no medical person has evaluated him, that will happen next week. Many were guessing around the beginning of February and that falls in the 6 week timeline.

Exactly. That's why I phrased it the way I did. This morning it was he'll be re-evaluated early next week and then in the afternoon it's there's optimism he'll be back for the Grammys. What? How about y'all wait and examine him first. Lol.

Jaylen Brown and Tatum are redundant. Why wouldn’t they be at least somewhat interested?

I dream in a months time RW is moved and we can play Dwight, AD, Bron lineups again. We can play that pressure active D we need to play.

In reality we will likely just hover around .500 as we go through the WB experience.

Those perimeter guys that are active defensively that do all the little things to win a championship are so hard to find. Especially ones with the championship rub. Oh and are in their mid 20s to help us get up and down the court. Impossible to find.

To be fair I don’t think we win a championship even without the RW experience unless AD and Bron peak like they did in year 1 (which has not happened again).

So that’s not really the thing im expecting. I just wish we could play balanced basketball. We neutered Frank Vogel, and we have not enough firepower to be able to play this small ball and get away with it.

Hoping Magic tweet at Jeanie sends a message to the FO a move is needed. Whether it takes 1-2 FDPs please move on from the RW experiment. Get Bron back at the PG. Interior D. Etc.

Totally agree, we have robbed Frank of his bread and butter. Now the lakers have a small ball lineup that nobody respects, because the small players they have can’t actually execute a small ball offense.

So now we have a team that can’t defend, can’t score efficiently, a coach who is coaching everything against his beliefs, and a gm who is probably trying to come up with a good fairy tale.

Now that’s probably the only thing that can salvage this season. They’d be a low seed nobody wants to play. However, I doubt he can be that guy again. Hope I am wrong

I'd take an AD without Klutch where LBJ leaves and does his farewell tour in Cleveland.

AD, Monk, Reaves is a good start.
