LeBron can pack his bags before the trade deadline along with Westbrook if he’s gonna continue being attached to this idiot.

What coaches and players say in post game interviews are much different than what they are saying behind the scenes. Do you really expect the head coach or leader of the team to come out and bash a player publicly ?

You didn't see what happened with Doc Rivers and Joel Embiid did to Ben Simmons?

If Simmons was acting and saying the things Westbrook has he would have been crucified by Doc Rivers and the Sixers... the same way the Lakers should do with Westbrook only difference is Simmons can actually make a major Impact right now compared to Westbrook so they can drag this out as long as they want.

Because the Sixers handled their situation so well? And it’s not drawn out?

Russ isn’t causing any problems with the team, he’s an ultimate competitor. He’s fed up with the press, big difference.

If what you said is true then he would have used what the press is doing to him and use it as a motivation instead he isn’t, he’s costing us games right now which in it self means that he is in fact causing problems with the team.

Just stop posting, bro.

You're comparing a player struggling on the court vs one who flat out REFUSES to play and completely QUIT on his team.

I really hope we give the Nunn/Monk backcourt a chance. Roll with LJ,AD, and SJ. It would give our bench a huge shot in the arm and RW would feast. I hope Frank has the balls to do it.

-Many, including the analytics crew, thought Baze would start. Turns out he's completely unplayable.
-Many hoped Ariza would be a viable wing, turns out he might be cooked.
-Many hoped AD's injury riddled season was an outlier. Nope
-Many hoped THT's game would grow to accommodate the needs of this roster. Nope (not really his fault)
-Many hoped Russ' fit wouldn't be as bad as forecasted. Turns out it's even worse.

This team is miles from contention, but people want to ship out remaining assets for a rental?

Agree. When a coach takes a swing at a player he does not help the player, does not support the teams cohesiveness and much less a players potential trade value (if that were viable).

Good point. But are we just going to accept this team not having a roster that can compete for a Championship, or are we going to try to improve it by getting the glaring missing pieces (sizable 3&D wings) while LeBron is still completing at an elite level?

Our window of opportunity is gone. Technically, we still have the '27 frp to use as sweetener but I think we will be behind other teams in terms of competing offers.

In every trade scenario, teams are going to look for the best possible offers and the Lakers just don't have a lot to offer. It would be difficult to improve the roster to championship contender status at this point. Our only hope is that our current players get it together but it doesn't look too promising at this point.

I don’t think we have the assets for Grant or Turner. Maybe they will look at someone like Gary Trent Jr? Raptors we’re previously interested in THT last year.

I disagree "miles".

AD, Bron, Monk, Reaves, Nunn, Bradley, Melo, Howard.

Moves needed:

1) You need a starting caliber bigger wing/guard that can give you some defense and some outside shooting around the above dudes.

2) Get out of the WB experience that severely limits you as a ballclub, both on the court stylistically and off the court salary cap wise.

I would be looking at every possible scenario to move WB, 3 teams, 4 teams trades, whatever it took.

That's a good team but you forgot Westbrook. He's the only player who has started every single game for us this season. So add in Westbrook, then it's not a good team anymore.

Doesn't look like Vogel is gonna bench or sit WB anytime so you need to include WB in there. We're just an average and mediocre team.

That's just the typical LG fantasized trade with no real substance. There's also Grant and Turner. But I would give up anything other than Lebron and AD for Simmons at this point

Ben is another one of those guys that needs the ball in his hands
to create for others given he can't shoot. This adds pressure for
LeBron to be a jump shooter but he's a playmaker and a good slasher.

Lakers need a backup PF, (you can count on AD getting hurt) and
a good 3&D long SF. Our SG's & PG's need to make their shots (ala Monk). THT and RW are almost the same animal statistically speaking. THTR should come off the bench and WR should...don't know, not be there, LOL.

The idea of playing LeBron all over the court (PF, C) is crazy, the man
is 37 y.o. and has played 19 seasons in the NBA; do we really need to drive him into the ground? And then recognize what we've done?

Anyway, just my O.

@deal, I'd take Ben Simmons over Russ just because he's younger, easier to flip for other pieces down the line and he's a good defender.

Simmons can't shoot but he's crafty on offense like grabbing offensive rebounds and finishing at the rim. His size would dominate most small ball lineups in today's NBA. Simmons could obviously run the offense while Lebron rests.

He's a fantastic defender in his prime. That's what we need just like during our championship run: just good shutdown team defense while Lebron took care of most of the scoring.
