I think Donnaire is about done as an elite fighter. He just can't pull the trigger anymore. Valdez looks great. Time to step up in class.

Did Floyd ever go to any other Pac fights? Have a hunch he'll get in the ring and stir things up a little. Maybe hype up a potential rematch.

Stephan A. Smith is an idiot. Tim Bradley did a good job as the color man. Dirty Dave Moretti needs to be put out to pasture. No way that was a 114-113 fight.

Crawford would beat the Pacquiao that fought Vargas.

Totally agree. I think it's time for Nonito to hang them up. I thought it was much closer than the cards the judges had, as well as Stephen A. Smith, and without seeing a couple of the rounds, I actually had Nonito winning the fight at the end, but the cards seemed like a blowout, which I didn't really see.

Valdez was very entertaining, but I don't know that he'd be able to load up on all power shots against better competition. We'll have to see, when he's up against one of the elite guys at 126.

Back in the day, prior to Floyd being "cash cow", he had gone to quite a few of Manny's fights. In fact, even after he retired (the 1st time, after Hatton), he had proclaimed Manny as the best pound for pound in the sport and said that he was one of his favorite boxers to watch. It actually wasn't until the talk about them fighting, that Floyd had negative things to say about Manny. Especially when Manny was pulled in by De La Hoya (when Floyd didn't want to do a rematch against him), and then Manny went on his tear through Hatton, Cotto, etc...That's when Floyd decided to come back to the sport against Marquez.

This. 1/2 way through the main event, he said, "I have Vargas winning"...except, he corrected himself because he didn't account for the knockdown, so he had the fight even (when he first mentioned Vargas winning the fight, at the midway point). I actually think he did okay (I've seen/heard much worse), especially considering it was his first fight as a color commentator, but I don't know that I'd want to see him doing others. The fact that he's arguing with a boxer, about a fighter getting "hurt", was enough for me to tune him out though.

Tim definitely has a future as a color analyst. I enjoyed listening to the nuances that were happening in the ring and breaking down the differences between watching it and actually being in there. Especially because he's been in there with Manny, that gives people a perspective that most wouldn't be able to comprehend completely, but at least helps people understand a little more.

Has Dave done other fights recently where he's completely botched the scores? I thought that he typically has been really good, but I can't remember.

Tim's been in there with both.. and both hurt him. So he knows what it feels like. Tim did great.

SAS was despicable. So disrespectful. LOL.. he didn't have any insight. it was bad.

Vargas fights a certain way. He actually fights, throw punches and takes chances. Taylor made for Manny.

Don't want another Manny Floyd hypejob. Would rather prefer Manny vs. Crawford.

those would be sweet!

what's weird is that this isn't even full strength Manny.. he's working 10 hours days as a senator and still taking people's belts. The drop off is crazy real..
But with the Senator distraction.. he's vulnerable.. I don't think he can do that if he fights crawford.. maybe broner or Garcia.. but Terrence will require his full attention.

Only one way I'd want to watch a Floyd Manny II...if it was on Free TV on CBS! Other than that, I'd rather not be overcharged for a fight that'd likely have a similar result (maybe slightly closer, but still same type of fight).

Manny vs. Crawford at 140 would be such an awesome fight. That's also assuming Crawford gets by John Molina (which I assume he does without issue).

Kinda scary that Manny was working full time the 1st month of training, but still completely outclassed Vargas. And I don't think he could really do that if he fought any 3 of those guys, and especially Crawford who makes the best adjustments out of all of them.

Don't know how I forgot to ask if anybody saw this. The fight was a freaking PPV on the weekend before Halloween, which made absolutely no sense to me at all, but check it out:

After you guys watch, I'll comment. Seriously a SMH moment.

Predictions for the Kovalev/Ward fight? I got Kovalev by UD with multiple knockdowns in the early rounds. Also, Claressa Shields (two time American gold medalist boxer - the first since Andre Ward) is fighting before the PPV undercard, and I am interested in seeing her fight.

I got Ward by UD. I think Kovalev will land a couple big shots early but ward will cruise in the later rounds keeping the fight on the outside.

I pick Kovalev. Bigger stronger longer. Jab is a telephone pole and maybe faster than
Ward's. Ward has fought no one of note in more than 3 years by choice. Now he's fighting outside of Oakland for the first time in forever. I just don't see a Ward victory here, unless the judges reward him for clutching holding and surviving and call it great defense.
