Yeah, he will broaden his westcoast fan base and I hope the fight is against Sam Soliman so he can add to his belt collection. 2015 is already setting up the Cotto-Canelo bout. I doubt Cotto will face GGG because Canelo vs Cotto would put the number 3 and 4 PPV draws together.

Sad to say but it might be another year of dodging GGG. Oscar talks about GG vs Quillen but you don't see him rushing to make that fight.

Yup! After Oscar tweeted about how awesome GGG vs. Quillen would be, I tweeted back telling him to stop talking and just make it happen...no response.

What can Oscar do? Isn't Quillen Al Haymon ' s creature?

It's not that easy... KD is not signed to DLH. Both fighters have different management teams and they fight on different networks. Showtime would have to give KD permission to fight on HBO.

What makes you think Haymond will put him in the ring against someone like GGG when he wants KD in a prize fight?

Quillen signed with Haymon in 2012. If he is signed with Haymon AND Golden Boy, that's gonna present a problem. Oscar needs to clean his stable and control his stable so he can make those potential fights with Top Rank. The fighters OTOH sees that Haymon gets them the bigger paydays, money talks and BS walks. Like I said before, Luis Collazo should never see 350k.

HBO won't have anything to do with GBP if Haymon is in the mix. Whomever, whether it be Oscar or Haymon, wouldn't make that fight with Golovkin even if HBO said let's do business. That's a title they'd probably lose and Quillen would more than likely have to move up or try to snatch a title from Soliman.

To show you how F'd up 160 is, 11 loss Sam Soliman may have to defend his title against Jermaine Taylor, who recently beat four lesser fighters and Haymon found some way to get him a shot. Brutal.

all supposedly "tough" fighters just flat out avoiding GGG... first it was Chaver Jr, now looks like it's Quillin's turn to sidestep GGG... meanwhile, Golovkin is left with no real marquee fight to his credit.

Friday night fights have been mostly a bust. Tonight
Rustam Nugaev vs Denis Shafikov. I don't know anything about either fighter.

Tomorrow HBO 6:00pm Kell Brooks vs Shawn Porter. Brooks been talking head now he has to stop talking and start fighting. I like Porter in a decision.

Linares looked good with his KO over Terry.

Wilder looked like doo doo. Stiverne should be able to pick this guy apart.

The Quigley dude was real nice with the lead right hand. Best fight of the early fights. Many seats available.

Finally starting to fill up. Soft ass people don't wanna sit in the heat. Angulo, Thurman, Santa Cruz are in the house. Haymon clan present as well.

Omar Figueroa is always a pleasure to watch. Just crazy knockdown. You could literally hear people wanting to stop it because of the cut. Looked pretty bad because the blood on his face was kinda dark red.

Boring ugly fight. Once Porter started backing up, I knew it was a done deal. Brook should win this easily.

Brook new IBF champ. Time to dodge the traffic.

It was ugly. I didn't score the fight but thought Brooks won. He landed the cleaner shots.
