* Way to come back Kobe! Hope the gazelle is ready to chase the lions (**ss*cats?)..
* I was so pumped by the win, i forgot to post the game thread for today. I did a quick check and couldn't find one, so mods, if there's already one, my apologies, please merge!

Must play like last time in Dallas, everyone contributing, ball moving, consistent offense and defense, smart timeouts, etc. _________________ Need proof NBA is rigged:

Would you like fries with that?
With PJ's favourite lineups, your wish is wishful though I'll be the first one (behind you) to enjoy blowouts after blowouts!
Seriously, I'm so used to heartaches/bone-headed-plays/brain-farts, and yet a W (from the mid-80s mind you)! The only time, i found the lakers predictable (in a good way) was the end of the 00-01 season, including postseason..now THAT was a well oiled machinery, with clutch veterans providing the oil! .... This group? That's why I have LG & beer! _________________ Starting Lakers Dynasty6.0! NOW!!

Quote:
The Mavericks have had some issues with Andrew Bynum in recent matchups when Erick Dampier has been healthy or not. On Wednesday, Brendan Haywood gets his first look against the Lakers' big man as a Maverick.
"It's tough matching up with Big Drew down there because he's talented, he's skilled, he's athletic and he's a load down there when they give him the ball, (rak loves this part ) " Haywood said. "On the offensive end, I just try to be in constant motion, don't let him rest. Quick duck-ins, post-ups, go to the offensive glass every play, working the baseline and trying to get open, not letting him just key on Dirk's post-up, things of that nature."
Before the signing of Dwayne Jones to a 10-day deal, the biggest body on the bench has been 6-8 Eddie Najera, so Haywood has had to be wise defensively so as to not get in foul trouble.
"I have to be smart, but I can't play scared," Haywood. "I can't take a silly foul early on, because they're too big for our back-ups. But at the same time, I can't just give up layups and inside position because that'll hurt us, as well."

Doesn't Haywood know that drew is a frightened, overpaid scrub, and that giving him the ball in the post is stupid? He needs to log on here and educate himself... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. What was that Kobe said about Raja Bell that pissed him off.. oh and Stephen Jackson...
“I don’t know this guy. I might have said one word to this guy. I don’t know this kid. I think he overreacts to stuff. We go out there, we play the game and leave it at that. Maybe he wasn’t hugged enough as a kid. I look at him a little bit, he gets a little insecure about something. I don’t know.” Told that Bell said both his cheeks are swollen and he could barely open his jaw, Bryant smiled and said, “He has a glass jaw.”

Blowout loss.
Beating a WC top-3 team 3 straight times in a single season is very unrealistic, especially on the road on the second night of a back-to back. Our bench looked horrible last night, and I don't expect any instant transformations tonight. Dallas is more impressive on the road than they are at home, but they're going to be up for this one. Lots to prove with their new additions, out for revenge after dropping the last two against us (including one on their home floor), this is going to be a statement game for them. And I expect them to make a statement. It won't be pretty (for us).
