TNT. Back when Hubie was on TNT, Dick Stockton and Hubie Brown were the 2nd best one-two punch in TV Broadcasting...number one will forever be imo Chick and Stu

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT:

NBA on NBC was the greatest.

The Lakers won all 3 championships on NBC.

Greatest freaking theme song in sports in my opinion. Just the theme song alone was worth watching cause it just got u sooooo pumped for NBA action. (bleep) u John Tesh.

Plus Jordan and a lot of the greats hadn't yet retired.

I also like Bob Costas and Doug Collins combo along with Bill Walton.

...but only because of the theme song.

Uh is someone forgetting about triple headers? And the presentation was also great.

That's all that needs to be said. Double and Triple Headers, almost every week from the end of November through the rest of the season. Meanwhile ABC shows less than 10 regular season games during the regular season and Christmas is their first game.

On average NBC would have 8-10 games per month easily, and ABC has that many during the whole season. NBC had the best coverage and commentary of all the others, hands down. I don't even have to bring up the theme music.

ABC is (bleep)'n full of it. First they take NBC's NBA coverage and move it mostly to ESPN, and now they want to move MNF to cable as well. It won't be long before they and Stern make us pay PPV fees or subscribe to NBATV to watch games.

As I live outside the States in a country where basketball is less important than horse riding, etc. I don't own a lot knowledge on this subject (I missed NBC and CBS, but have seen stuff from all the others a few times). But I do like Charles Barkley, no matter what crap he says sometimes about the Lakers. He just is the man.

My current favorite is TNT. I like the pre/post game show with Ernie, Kenny, and Charles. It's more comic relief than quality insight. But at least its entertaining! They have a good mix of announcers and usually pick decent games to broadcast. And if its a bad game, at least you can hear jokes about it at halftime and after the game.

NBA on NBC were great. Everything just seemed right about it, from the presentation, to the schedule, to the announcers. Games on at 12:30, 3:00, and 5:30 was something to look forward to each Sunday. Walton and Snapper trying to 1-up each other all game long was hilarious.

I think it's part of the NBA League Pass package. You order the League Pass, you get all the games plus the NBATV channel. At least that's what the rep at Comcast told me!

TNT is lame... Charles makes it worth turning down the volume or just turning it off and waiting until the 2nd half...

ESPN is bad broadcasting period.

ABC... is better than the both of them combined... I don't need hype in my sports... that is what's ruining the game today. too much flash, not enough substance.

CBS sports was the best for me... it was the real LAKER decade... the NBA on NBC for strictly for Bulls fans, Costas and Rashad proved it with their ****sucking of jordan.

and thats all I have to say about that.

ABC. Two words: Hubie Brown

He is a great commentator, I hope he is still with them, or someone, this year. However, I do like TNT's studio show, and ABC shows an embarrasingly small number of games, not all of which had Hubie. So it's close between ABC and TNT, as far as current coverage.

Yea, Tommy Heinson in the 80's being the worst Boston Homer announcer. I just about lost it when he wore the big green tie during one of the Boston/Lakers finals. Very innappropriate for a network announcer. Hated that guy.
