Lakers win tonight. Congrats on the championship for the good fans on this forum. That's how I feel with the odds against the Celtics. Enjoy it.

but, all joking aside, thanks for using a messageboard the way it was meant to be used...for fans to talk hoops and root for their favorite teams and players. what always made these places so great to visit is they attract fans from all over the country; they attract fans from all over the world.
today is a great day be a basketball fan.

I've actually mentally prepared myself for the Celtics losing this series, but they still have a chance. I was really pleasantly surprised that they beat Cleveland and Orlando. Like Kobe said, the Lakers learned from 2008 that defense and strong physical play is the key for them to becoming champions so they learned from the Celtics style of play. The Lakers are playing very well right now.
There was the 84 series followed by 85 when the Lakers won. We'll see. |

There's no better feeling than beating a worthy adversary on the field. You celtics being as evil as you are will make it all the more satisfying. When it's over and we stand over your broken corpses I will give pause and thank the sports gods that it was your team who allowed us this triumphant moment. And then we will celebrate.
Either that or I'll just jump up an down screaming and I think I might even cry a bit. This is going to be one for the history books folks.
