Yea, what's up with that ? Is it really because the city is broke ? That doesn't make sense.

It does! They're saving the money for a HUGE 3-peat bash for 2011

No rally?? Does this happen? Ever? Do other cities not hold rallies?

The Lakers win a back-to-back title avenging a loss to the Celtics and there's no rally???

There's no rally???

I am dumbfounded.

Well they'd better spend money on players this offseason then. No rally after beating the Celtics in a game 7... How disappointing.

Only 65,000 people showed up, according to the LAT. Weren't there more than 1/2 million last year?!

Probably because when people heard there was no rally they stayed home. Last year people tried to invade the coliseum and when they couldn't get in, im sure they moved down the street, at least, thats what I did.

Yeah well why would you go if all you'll see is them pass by for 30 seconds? Maybe there'd be a lot more had there been an actual rally.

I have trouble believing it was 65,000...there is no way in hell they can sit there and count heads...by the masses I saw, I honestly want to say that there was a good million....not no 65,000 trust me, I know what 65,000 looks like, there was more than that

65,000 seems like a wrong number. Maybe, it's suppose to be 650,000 and someone got it wrong?

No way, just 65,000. The Metrolink operated beyond capacity afterwards, and there were people who drove, too.
