Any chance he cracks a roster spot? Over Morrison or something?

Never heard of this guy. Do you think he has enough talent to make the team?

E-banks is a Trevor Ariza type of player. A little less athletic and doesn't have any range on his shot yet, but I really like the pick. Willie Warren would have been nice as well though.

we have that in ron artest at SF.

if he really cant score. he will be such a liability on offense. that his defense wont be seen. remember he's a bench player. unless he gets to always playwith kobe and gasol. he will look horrible. unless we find a push it up the court pg from off the bench that can hit him in transition for most of his buckets.

Got the guy I wanted.

He's supposed to be the closest thing to Trevor Ariza in this draft. Similar measurements.

Think of Ariza before he got the jumper.

It will take a year or two, but this guy could really help us.

What I like.

1- He can play off the ball in a motion offense.
2- Doesn't need shots, wants to be a defensive specialist.

Fits in perfectly with what LA needs right now. Athletic, defensive minded role players.

Doesn't have 3-point range though. Which is required for proper spacing in the triangel

He can compete with Ammo or DJ on triple doubles. Heard Adam averaged about 14 creepy smiles, 12 passed towels and 15 high fives

Some of his highlights on Youtube:

Edit: People who put these highlights together attach the most awful music they can find to the footage.

Guy is a solid player but I wanted the Lakers to take a PG. Why didn't we take a PG?

Bench athleticism being addressed already. Even if they aren't going to be more than 3rd string players on this team - Crittenton and EBanks make this team that much more athletic.

Think about this 2nd unit defending - and athletically challenging teams.

Bynum/Gasol
Odom
EBanks
Bell
Crittenton

EBanks and Critt are scrubs right now - but they can really work their way into the rotation over the next year or so. It's not like Trevor Ariza instantly became a starter. Took him a year as a Laker.

As a WVU fan, here's my take:

- very good defender with really long arms
- great rebounder for his size, especially offensive
- didn't improve a whole lot while at WVU
- decent mid-range shooter, but not a perimeter shooter
- still has potential to improve his shooting
- not as quick or athletic as ariza but plays bigger

I think he has a good chance to stick.

So it's pretty much a lock that the Lakers are going to sign JCritt then?
