So it's pretty much a lock that the Lakers are going to sign JCritt then?
No sorry - neither he or Bell are locks.
Just speculating - and thinking about possibilities. If we can grab Critt and Bell on vet min deals, the Lakers would have improved one of their weaknesses this past season.
Which was athleticism and defense off the bench. I wasn't happy with the way Farmar, Sasha, Brown played defense this past year.
i almost feel bad for guys drafted by us. Will never see the court for a loooong time.
He's going to have a chance. He plays a weakspot position at SF. He can easily beats Luke Walton for the spot in the rotation.
I like this pick. He reminds a lot of Ariza, a slasher and a defensive specialist. You can't teach defense, it's all about heart and effort. So that's a plus.
The bad side is his offensive game which can be taught. Kobe can take him under his wing and teach him some wing basketball move with Artest showing how to play defensively. As a young a player, you can't ask for more.

Take some damn Zoloft or something because it's the 43rd pick, champ.
This was a strong value pick. He has a legitimate shot at making the roster, fills a role and is inexpensive. _________________ "After watching Bryant and Cooper go at it for about 10 minutes West stood up, nodded at two team public-relations men he'd brought with him, and snapped, 'That's it, let's get out of here, I've seen enough. When was the last time the Lakers let a 2nd round draft pick actually get in a game?
Lakers are still in "win now" mentality, remember?
This pick means absolutely nothing.
Luke Walton, Roni Turiaf, Trevor Ariza to name a few. I'm not saying Ebanks will have similar success but sometimes there can be diamonds in the rough.
edit - didnt play for LA but Marc Gasol has shown he belongs in the NBA.

You want another crappy PG as well? Who the hell could we get at 43 that's going to contribute significantly at PG to a championship team in their rookie year? _________________
He's supposed to be the closest thing to Trevor Ariza in this draft. Similar measurements.
Think of Ariza before he got the jumper.
It will take a year or two, but this guy could really help us.
What I like.
1- He can play off the ball in a motion offense.
2- Doesn't need shots, wants to be a defensive specialist.
Fits in perfectly with what LA needs right now. Athletic, defensive minded role players.
so how will he score? the triangle = you have to be SMart enough, and have triple threat ability.
does he have those things? i dont know anything about his smarts. but can he pass well? can he shoot well? did they say he cuts off the ball well? ariza was always a great cutter off the rock. pre nba. is this guy?
if the answer to these questions are no and he's 100% defense and 0% offense. then he's worthless. unless we find ourselves a push it PG to run the bench.. cause the only way he will score is in transition.
