The only fundamental you need to learn at rucker is where to hide your handgun so that its close enough to use when you get into an argument over fouls, travelling (OK, there's no travelling at rucker), etc. Barring that, you could use some practice at removing the chain net quickly to beat or strangle your opponent with.

At Rucker Park, crossovers and dribbling between the legs are considered fundamentals

And when the Lakers were down big in the third quarter and most of the team was playing like crap, the thought never occurred to you, "Can they do this?"

And if your honest answer is the same as Kobe's honest answer, then you need to give yourself a double thumbs down. One for the answer and one more for the hypocrisy.

I'm too slow.

Plus, you said this before I had the chance to.

Even though rucker park is known for streetball and nothing like nba basketball, I still want to go there one day and watch some games.

Fans will never understand the pressure they face on the floor.Only the players know it clearly, some of them will pull it off and fight for it,some will just let the doubt filled in their heads and feel lost on the floor.

A healthy dose of realistic fear can be a huge motivator.

I'm sure LeBron thought his team would breeze through to the finals right up until the moment he realized "uh, oh, this ain't so easy" at which point it was too late because he wasn't mentally tough enough to face the fear and keep on playing.

Luckily, we have Kobe (and Ron, Pau, Derek, etc) and not LeBron. To that I say:

IMO, that was Cleveland's problem 2 years in a row - and it started with their 'fearless leader.'

You can't be afraid to look fear in the face.

How did this turn into a LeBron discussion?

One poster gave Kobe a thumbs down because he admitted to having some doubt during a tough finals. Kobe overcame those feelings and helped win another championship. On the other side of the spectrum, as a counter example, was LeBron. One player faced his fears, the other didn't. Simple.
