Typed in DEAD CAN DANCE in Pandora and it opened up a world of CD/Bands that I had never heard of...
For any DCD fans: Irfan is a really cool band that I am sure will appeal to DCD fans... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

The CULT are coming to the HOB Anaheim next month and will be playing stuff off their ELECTRIC album..
In preparation for that, I made a CD Comp containing the best of their ELECTRIC and LOVE releases...
If in the mood for some guitar-based R&R(?), check them out at the HOB or in these links:
A few years back, the Cult lead singer (Ian Astbury) had teamed up with Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger (Ex-keyboards and guitars for the Doors) and played a bunch of concerts until ex-Doors drummer John Densmore got some type of court injunction against them and made them stop...
you can check it out here:
Ian does an Ok job with the Jim Morrison role... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”

Lately I have been getting into a bunch of bands that play a combination of Psychedelic/SpaceRock/Prog/Krautrock/Stoner Jamming, bands like:
Causai Sui
Electric Orange
Electric Moon
Sula Basanna
Oresund Space Collective
All of these bands have stuff on you-tube, for those who are interested in expanding their musical pallet...! _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
Was lookin at the couple of Greg Kihn's semi-hits, The Break-Up Song and Jeopardy. Heard Break-Up Song in the background on Sopranos. I hadn't heard that song in so long I forgot about it.
I like that spate of late 70s / early 80s bands that intentionally seemed to reach for a small club appeal. The late 70s Cars, The Romantics, The Knack, J. Geils Band, Pretenders, etc, Springsteen's video for Glory Days. That kind of sound seemed to be the more credible pop music trend in those days that went against the synthpop grain. There was a music review about Van Halen 1 saying most bands would be happy to be called a band that sounds like one you'd see in a small club, to which VH's music was fit for an aircraft carrier. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL SEDALE TRIBUTE EDDIE DONX!
My latest discovery is a Psychedelic-space rock band out of Chile named FOLLAKZOID.
They have a bunch of songs on You-tube for anyone wanting something fresh and new... _________________ “Always remember... Rumors are carried by haters, spread by fools, and accepted by idiots.”
