Blur's new single Go Out is pretty cool, tho I'm a bit biased
Nice! Gotta check that sucker out. Naturally, I was conditioned to dislike Blur in the 90s, but I actually started listening to them a few years back. Gotta say...Parklife and The Great Escape are great albums.

Used to be able to play this without notes. How much I've forgotten.
I am impressed that you could ever play this. Sonny just let fly! There literally isn't a 3 day period that goes by without my listening to this recording. I don't know if you know but Sonny was in Clifford and Max's band for the last 18 months of Cliffords life. Sonny once said in an interview that although he didn't know if he was as good on Sax as Clifford was on trumpet, when Clifford's widow told Sonnny that Sonny's presence in the band led to major growth. And if you look at it, you go from Clifford playing alongside a top 3 all time drummer and Harold Land and Richie Powell to playing with a top 3 drummer and top 3 sax man. If only they could have had Bud Powell in the group!
Anyway, kudos for being able to play this (bleep), especially if you played at that tempo. If you transcribed it, I'll be even more impressed. _________________ “It took many years of vomiting up all the filth I’d been taught about myself, and half-believed, before I was able to walk on the earth as though I had a right to be here.”

Bumping an old thread here, but has anyone checked out the new Frank Ocean music?
It's kinda of all over the place, but has some nice tracks on it. Strange decision to release 2 projects only days apart, but definitely worth listening to IMO. _________________ Lakers, Chargers, Dodgers, Arsenal FC.

Been listening to the two new releases by Wilco, "If I Ever Was a Child" and "Locator" in anticipation of their new album coming out in a couple of weeks. _________________ You thought God was an architect, now you know

My nephew had it on yesterday and I loved it. Not a lot of new music really resonates with me but this is really, really good.

I downloaded Chris Stapleton's album several months ago and just got around to listening to it and it is amazing. I got turned off to Country during the Luke Bryan/Jason Aldean era, but with guys like Stapleton and Chris Young it seems to be getting back to its roots. Young played at the Ventura County Fair last week and it was a great show _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
