Lamar Odom and picks?

LO makes half of what Melo makes. I don't see how picks are going to close the gap.

This is complete garbage. Why even make a thread for this BS. At least put it in the Trade area and don't litter the Lakers Lounge with this crap.

I'm just the messenger and Tony Gaffney put it out there (although the timing sucks with Melo) just thought people wanted to know to kill time before the Miami/LA game.

I was surprised BobbyJ said that. He should know what it feels like to post something and get crap for it. (Whether warranted or not.)

This would blow my mind if it happened. Can't see it happening though. We'd be more hated than the heat.

Calm down nancy.

There's nothing to talk about at the moment.

Or we can all hop over to the original thread about Luke's contract that was just created.

Okay I apologize for jumping on you. I couldn't get into Gaffneys facebook page to verfify what he said. It just sounds so ridiculous and the fact that you put a link to a Celtic blog for the story even makes it look more suspicious and unreal.

Tony's a scrub that played for the Lakers and Celtics but of course was cut from both teams and now he's in Turkey too.

I got this from another board and they had it linked to a Celtics blog. Personally I don't get what a Celtics fan would gain from such a rumor its not like the Lakers actively covet Melo here.

I'd do Odom and Artest for Melo and Birdman.

Bynum
Gasol
Melo
Kobe
Fish

Birdman
Barnes
Shannon
Blake

I could live with this 9-man rotation.

LOL. Well, the rumor is Odom and picks, so yes, I think Mitch could do better. I was tossing Artest in there to round out the team cuz I'm not sure how he'd handle coming off the bench. Birdman gives you back the height that you lost in Odom, and he defends too. But I guess most "Odom" believers would laugh at this suggestion. Odom and Artest for Melo and Birdman would be laughed at any other year cause it wouldn't be an equal trade to Denver. But Melo wants out and Odom is playing at an all time high. Odom has 11 years of inconsistent play, but 29 games of consistent play this year. If I had a chance to snag Melo for Odom, this is your window of opportunity right now. If you look at the big picture, it's not that ridiculous. Especially when Odom comes back down to earth. Then you wouldn't be laughing but crying that you could have had Melo.
