Nice to meet you GhostofShaq. My name is Travis.

I can't believe I actually used Shaq in my name, but hey, you have to do what you have to do.

I thought I noticed a higher quality of writing on those comments than on most of the early homer comments.

Well done gentlemen.

it would secure the future of the lakers to have howard going to be 26 and bynum going to be 24 even if you have to trade bynum later for another piece but i think it could work with both of them no brainer for the lakers. yes arenas is on the down side but to be able to pair the 2 young big men that every team would want would secure the future of this franchise past kobe's years.

Thanks. I'm getting my votes in too.

Since we lack cap space, that limits our bargaining power in this. We are going to have to give up a couple of good pieces and take back at least one toxic contract. I could see giving up Pau and Odom, and then trading Bynum for a guard and PF. Or, more likely, giving up Bynum and Odom.

It will be interesting to see what happens. I can already see an off-season with dozens of threads and hundreds of pages on this!

Yeah, but we're actually taking the trouble to vote multiple times, not just miscounting those who do it once...

You have to admit, it's just the right touch to establish credibility.

That was awesome, along with "ballhog Bryant". Sounds just like a bitter Magic fan.

Keep it going gentlemen. We'll all be able to say we did everything WE could to get Dwight here.

I haven't bothered to read all of this, but how is this going to change anyone in the FO's minds? For both LA and Orlando?

Funny, but I just added a comment about how if Dwight wants to (bleep) on the fans, the best revenge is to send him to LA to be "second fiddle to an aging egomanic Kobe".

Sadly, most of my hateful rhetoric was gleaned from "fans" here...

#1 It's fun, so who cares?

#2 We can't exactly call up either front office or Dwight ourselves, so the best we can do is let them think their own fans are willing to be rid of him.

It's not about the FO of either team.

It's about Dwight.

You'll remember Shaq citing the Sentinel poll back in '96 (where more then 50% of the people said he wasn't worth giving a $100m contract) as one of the reasons he left town.

A poll in the Sentinel now with most people saying they should trade Dwight will give him similar cover. He can say he felt unappreciated.

The locals will blame the Sentinel for driving another star out of town. (They're already doing this in the comments section. It's classic.)

Who knows ? It might even make Dwight actually feel unappreciated and help sway him towards wanting to come here if he's on the fence about it.

Can't hurt to vote a few times to do what we can, since it's the only thing we can really do.

History has turned on stranger (and smaller) events.

It's probably overkill, wasted on people dumb enough to elect A corporate criminal as their governor.

If the trade goes down, and Dwight cites the lack of fan support, I think I'll post a link of this to whatever article the Sentinel puts out announcing the trade.
