Assuming one has to go in a trade for Artest, which would you keep? _________________ Lakers Gonna Lake |

Kwame. Only post defender and it's way too early to give up on him, especially given his recent games. |

If you are not contending always put your money down on potential. |

I would probably keep kwame in hopes that someday he can put it all together. He has all the tools physically to be able to dominate in this league but something is missing upstairs. Hopefully, one of these days that light will turn on and he'll make mitch look good for doing that trade |

I'd rather keep Kwame - but not by as much as you think.
I'm pretty sure Mihm makes a lesser chunk of change, and he's the better player right now... but Kwame's barely a half-step behind, and seems to be on the upswing... has the potential to at least be a great defender, even if his offense and boards never come around. |

True, but if we were moving one of those guys for Artest we'd be contending... so potential would no longer be the only thing to consider.
Still sayin' Kwame, don't get me wrong... just like I said, the distance isn't as great as some might think. |

I would keep Kwame on age and potential alone. But Mihm gives us more at the current time. You gotta think Kwame will "get it" at least somewhat in the next few years and eclipse Mihm. |

Mihm makes Kwame look like Artest on Defense.....
Kwame will settle enough to at least be a "threat" which combined with his D will make him > Mihm. |

with brown we can have odom play the 4 because of his physical size, although we will need him to start getting after it more on boards |

mihm is playing the best he can possibly play.
kwame has much more potential, he's stronger, and has shown great ability in recent games.
plus kwame has great post d and doesnt gets a foul called on him every time he's within 5 feet of the ball.
keep kwame. |

flashakadrano hit the nail on the head. I'm not totally convinced Mihm has maxed out his ability, but I'm really leaning that way. We can always say he'd be a very good center if he stopped getting into foul trouble, but that is his game. Kwame isn't wowing me, but it is more likely I say "why did LA deal him?" than I would for Mihm. I don't know what it will take to be him to play like a beast in the post, likely the same thing to keep Mihm out of foul trouble. |

I'm surprised anyone said Mihm. he's a good back-up center. That's all. _________________ -

I don't know, Kwame has a trade kicker and at least they know what they are getting with Mihm. They are trying to make a playoff run right now, and it would help to platoon Mihm and Foster at center and let O'Neal dominate at PF. |

It's obvious Kwame is still getting better. He also is more of a presence defensively!
Mihm isn't as bad as you guys paint him out to be but I'd still rather keep Kwame! _________________ 16 and counting.... |

Kwame's value cannot be measured. No doubt I take him over Mihm any time. |

Mihm is taller, a better shot blocker, injured less, and better in every single statistical catagory.....
......but I choose Kwame
Honestly I'd trade either one for Artest in a heartbeat. _________________ *Warning: The preceding post may have contained sarcasm and/or irony.

DITTO!! Kwame is way more physical and way more intimidating than Mihm. All it will take is one flagrant foul from Kwame (ala Karl Malone v. I. Thomas) and we can consider the lane protected. If that doesn't work, show a video of KVH going to the hole |

If you stop sucking on your momma's teet long enough to watch the games ... you'd see why.
Not only is Mihm more of a true center than Kwame ... not only is he outplaying Kwame ... and not only has Mihm just started reaching his potential under PJ but ... Mihm is one of the few players on the Lakers who has the same emotional fire that Kobe has ... he gets angry when we lose and angry when he plays poorly. He has a great attitude and is a great teammate. And he has never quit on his team.
One of the reasons why people want Artest is his fire (assuming it doesn't consume him) and desire to win. Why would you keep the guy whose heart and desire have been questioned and get rid of the guy who HAS the great attitude AND is playing better??? |
