Ideally I would want the Lakers to go 3-0 on our upcoming roadtrip. However I hate Snaq with a passion and would love to win on his home court just to have the best Christmas ever. My question is would you rather go 1-2 on the trip and win against Miami? Or would you rather go 2-1 for the sake of a better record but lose to Miami.
I would personally love to win in Miami! |

I'd love to win in Miami.
Total wins is flat out more important though. |

Every game counts, if we lose, we may lose our confidence, 3-0 or 2-1 for me |

I'd rather go 3-0 but if it came down to pride versus record, give me the better record... _________________ Build around team players, not ISO players. |

It's selfish to think this, but I'd rather give Miami a beatdown. |

This is tough because it isn't just some game. There's a lot of animosity and hate here to bring out emotions that don't garner the thoughts and feelings we would normally have in this situation. I would love to kill Miami (although I doubt the refs allow it), but I'll take more wins.

Give me a break, 2-1. I don't care if the Lakers lose to the Heat all year as long as the Lakers win 45+ and do damage in the playoffs. The Heat aren't winning a title so a couple regular season victories of theirs over the Lakers isn't going to mean jack in the big picture. _________________ Westside |

A win at Miami and a Kobe flush on Fat-zilla would be an xmas present for the ages.
All he has to do is lob a krispy kreme at the basket while enroute for the one-handed jam. Shaq will be distracted, go for the donut, and get posterized all in one shot! |

In the end, NBA basketball is just entertainment, and it's definitely more entertaining to watch Kobe kick Wade and Shaq's ass than it is to watch the Lakers win measly 2 games on the road. |

I have a feeling we will beat Orlando and Miami, but lose to the Wizards. Chucky, Caron, and Arenas will be looking for revenge and the Lakers coming off a big win will play down to the competition. |

Wow, 30 people who would rather lose two than win two. I guess they would rather go 2-80, as long as the two were wins against the Heat. Pathetic. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I don't think that is a fair way to look at it. The game in Miami on Christmas is probably the biggest game on the NBA agenda this season including playoff games (unless the Lakers play the Heat in the Finals). While I would rather have the two wins, it is a tough call since the game christmas game is epic. |

The Miami game is all about hype. So who cares? The game is all a manufactured hype, and is no more important than the Lakers v. the Magic. It's this kind of lemming-like devotion to meaningless hype that makes one wonder, as an NBA fan, if the league has devolved into the WWF. Stern and his clueless minions would do better to focusing on the overall quality of the products they put on the court. They could start by hiring competent, uncorrupted refs.

While 2 wins would be awesome, I remember last year when I felt all crappy cause we lost to them in the Christmas game. A win against the Heat wills solidify our position in the league and people will start taking us seriously. If we lose, the team will get inundated with negative articles and there's going to be more pissing and moaning going around than I care to stomach.
Also, no one is saying we want the team to go 2-80. That's a bad analogy all around. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

It's not to say people are wishing for the Lakers to lose, it's more like people really want the Lakers to beat the Heat. People would be even more ecstatic if we went 3-0, but if there is one game that we want the team to win it is that Heat game. _________________ I'm like a Hadouken, down-right Fierce! |

now heres a man whose thinkin outside the box
id take a win in miami and two losses over two wins. a win on miamis home floor in a nationally televised game is like a playoff game can do loads for team confidence and unity. its games like those that build character and show people what youre made of. give me the miami win any day.
but forget about all that... i just want to see snaq get pwned on his home floor |
