The main contenders appear to be:

Denver (Nene and Watson)
Atlanta (Harrington)
Golden State (Dunleavy and Foyle)
Lakers (Odom or Kwame)

My guess is the Lakers (Odom and Mihm for Artest and Croshere).

This is just speculation, but I think the Pacers are letting the market come to them. They'll say that they're in no hurry and go about their business, then wait for someone to get desperate and sweeten their offer. As the season unfolds, there's a great chance that someone will panic and decide that Artest is the solution to their problems.

Pacers may be doing a little of that but I think the team (players) want to get this behind them. The sooner the better for the team.

Better poll question would be... "Do you care"

My answer: Not really.

I mean your trade possiblilities sound very right. I would love to have Artest on our Lakers but I wish it wouldn't cost us Lamar. If we would be able to get Artest we would have the new and improved Laker-BUlls.

1. Kobe Bryant-Michael Jordan
Pretty much self explanitory

2. Lamar Odom-Scottie Pippen
Both tall long and great handles, shot from perimeter, defense, dunk ons

3. Ron Artest-Dennis Rodman
defensive nightmares, rebound hogs, mental intimidation, With one exception Artest got way more offensive skills and three ball

It would be great and I would have to say we would put up a great fight night in and out.

I want to get Artest without trading Kobe, Odom, Mihm, Sasha and Bynum. Those are my core guys. If we can get Artest, he can make our team contenders. I already know the keys to this team's needs for a title. A consistent 20ppg scorer to back up Kobe. Our defense gives us a chance to win every game. Now all we need is scoring.

i think he'll go to golden state. they'll throw in ike diogu and pietrus. young guys that larry and walsh see potential in. itll turn out well for both teams. the warriors might have to toss in someone with some experience as well.

I've gotta say I'm feeling the Denver trade for some reason, possibly a 3 way deal including ATL.

Jim Armstrong, Denver Post: “The Pacers have talked to the Raptors about a deal involving Ron Artest. Why? For one thing, Toronto is closer to Siberia, where they really want to send him.”
