As of Friday afternoon, Time Warner Cable Sports was still discussing broadcast rights with other program providers, but there was no indication if a deal might be reached in time for today's exhibition against the Utah Jazz.
"Negotiations with TV providers to carry Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes are ongoing," Time Warner Cable Sports said in a statement.
"There is a significant demand from Lakers fans for these two networks and we are working very hard to reach agreements with all TV providers in Southern California so that fans can watch the games they love."

Sushi Dan in Studio City. They have 3 big screens. They've already been playing TWC when older games are being broadcast. I think they're big Lakers fans. _________________ Damn I got old since I first signed up on LG |

You can check at www.iwantmylakers.com
Type in the zip and choose Time Warner Cable and it shows that the above zip is within the TWC territory. |

There are places in OC that get TWC.
You know what's sad? I'm looking for a new pad to move to and I'm checking up if TWC is available in those spots...
The things I do for these Lakers. |

I'm sure there are, but I wouldn't know where to begin. What we need is someone/anyone/everyone calling some of their favorite spots and asking if they are showing the game, then report back here. I'll update the thread and spread the word. I need help, though. I don't know all the spots and trying to cover SoCal alone would be impossible.
Smile and dial, fellas.
Pretty please.

I called DTV. I was told they would have all the away games. They're negotiating with TWC for home games. Even with League Pass, to date, they won't get home game. They're trying to get a package to add them.
The agent was a Miami fan and we got into it, in a civil manner. He thinks it will be the Lakers and Heat in the finals, Miami in 7, I have Lakers in 6.
He also think the addition of Hasheem Thabeet is going to make a difference for OKC. I told him size does not a basketball player make.
I'll settle for away games. If DTV and TWC come to some kind of agreement it'd be nice. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Ummm, how the hell would that work? DirecTV only gets access to the channel when away games are shown? Doesn't make much sense. It'd be a nice start if it was true, but given what we know both sides are asking, how could it be true? |

2 big TV's. Make nice with the bartender and they will give you preference of channel. Sometimes there is hockey, football, and 2 basketball games on, etc. |

My buddy in Chino said Zendejas Mexican Restaurant in Ontario has TWC and has been showing the Laker Games.
I believe its off of Vineyard Avenue. _________________ ♪ ♫One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain...
