The defense will be just fine. Pringles will actually have players that are pretty good defenders to go along with Dwight. |

Dwight wanted PJ.
If D'Antoni doesn't get them to the ring, maybe Cuban will hire Phil to get Dwight next year.
Then it will be a 40-year-old Nash, a depressed Kobe, and a comatose Pau. |

| This is (bleep) awkward. With most of the superstars already feeling Phil Jackson will be their coach, their excitement are obviously clear. Now this shock to the player, I"m not even sure those guys will respect. If anything you NEED RESPECT of the players to win. I don't give a (bleep) if Nash likes him. If Dwight doesn't or Kobe doesn't respect, this team ain't winning (bleep). |

Proven loser? They kicked Kobe's ass a few straight years, didn't they?
Joe Johnson was pretty damn good playing with Nash. _________________ KobeDunk wrote:

Woo hoo!!! I'm excited to see the pick and roll and drive and kick offense with Nash and Blake driving into the teeth of the defense and kicking it out to Metta, Ebanks, and Meeks. 'Cause you know.. those guys are automatic. _________________ We expect a championship. In spite of Mike Brown. |

How many finals appearances with all that talent. big fat zero. Unless your name is Magic Johnson or Isiah Thomas, ball dominant distributing point guards don't win championships.

| Mike Brown only knew defense. If the Lakers hire Mike D'Antoni, he only knows offense. Compared to Phil Jackson, who only knows winning. |

lol no. Kobe will do whatever he wants in any system. You fail to understand D'Antoni's philosphy. He is more than just pnr and run n gun. You really believe he's going to do what he did with Phoenix with a 39 yr old Nash?
That's insulting Mike D'Antoni's intelligence. He is an assistant coach for the U.S olympics team. Jim Buss would not sign a coach kobe did not approve of. You know KOBE can run pick and roll also, he did it the whole game vs Kings tonight.
Kobe will play iso ball when it is necessary he always does, and it would be stupid to limit him to spot up shooting. _________________

Those teams didn't have nearly the talent that this Lakers team has, and they had a ton of success. Lots of teams couldn't get passed the Spurs and Duncan, not even Shaq and Kobe beat them every time. _________________ KobeDunk wrote:

Not sure how I feel about this.
I'll give it some time. I really wanted Phil though.
I guess D'Antoni sold the Buss family on bringing back Showtime?
Last time it was DVDs, now it was bringing back Showtime. _________________ Lakers win record when Kobe goes for 40+ points

| if phil is asking for absurd amount of money, as well as control of some of the team management, as well as not coaching some games...i think it comes to a point where it doesn't make sense to spend so much on coaching. |
