Well. Let's start with the Lakers and Clippers. People would say that we have about 43 home games each as opposed to 41, because they play each other 4 times and well... it's at Staples Center!
But other than that, isn't travel much easier for teams in the east? I mean, a flight from Los Angeles up to Sacramento is much longer than something like Philly to Boston, or Philly to New York, or even Philly to Cleveland.
So the whole Kings/Lakers both in Cali doesn't exactly mean the travel is easy. Sure, you can say the East coast have it hard when they come over to the West for like a 5-6 game road trip. Doesn't the same bode for the West coast teams? The Lakers and Clippers also have long road trips way over to the East.
But anyway. What do you think? The Western Conference is too wide (state-wise) and the Eastern Conference seems pretty bunched up. Especially in the upper right area of the United States. _________________

i'm not complaining or making excuses, but don't forget also that teams going east "lose" hours, while teams going west "gain" hours. _________________ "You're a man's woman. You hate other women and they hate you."

yes, because of that, an east team going west, is less tired than a west team going east _________________ www.lakersbrasil.com
