17 th season in the NBA and Kobe is still playing at a really good level and our journey all continues .

One thing about Kobe, which transcends all the stuff that bounces around here or in the media or in anyone else's mind but his, is his consistency. Through rubbish calls, crap teams, court appearances, team changes, arguments with ownership, offense upheavals, on-again off-again marriage situations, changes in referring interpretations, and generations of players, etc, etc, etc; he's still been Kobe. He's been absolutely, 100%, without one iota of a question, dedicated to the pursuit of more rings.

Is there a better role-model for the pursuit of a specific goal?

As an NBA fan I don't know what proportion of Kobe's earnings can be attributed back to my appreciation of his work; but frankly the man deserves every cent 1000x over, and he continues to be a source of inspiration when I feel half-assed or ready to give less than 100% effort.

And that video is both brilliant and needs an apt sequel.

Man, I'm not emotionally ready for the day that Kobe Bryant retires. I'm in my 30s and have grown up with him.
