|
|
Haven't tested it on a desktop but randomly on mobile / tablet devices (usually on page load) these ad units will play full volume and appear about 15-30sec+ after the start of the ad depending on the length of the spot. They are invisible but most carry the ad choices tag. Each day it plays the same ad all day, everyday, changing daily restarting everytme you visit a new page. Theres no random rotation and no frequency capping. It's driving me crazy. Yesterday it was doggy dentures, today it's some sexy (bleep) which sounds like I'm watching porno. Would love it if you could please at least enable frequency capping, or enforce click to play or auto muted ads through your pub filters.. It's ruining the user experience.
Thanks |

We don't allow audio ads in our ad campaigns.
I need to know more about the specific ads so I can hunt these rogue ones down. I'll look for iPad to see if I can find anything related to that.
But more info, though, please. Thanks. |

Seriously, Doggie Dentures when viewing the site is becoming incredibly annoying. This has been going on for weeks. I believe it's being served up from an image/ad that isn't loading at the bottom of the page. On the iPad, it shows up as a blue question mark at the bottom of the page where there would normally be an ad. Please fix this! |

I've had similar experiences. The doggy dentures one in particular is making me crazy. I'll come back and list the others as I get them. _________________ Jeffs

I just got one for the Cadillac ATS. It's definitely linked to the ads appearing at the bottom of the page. |

Looking, but haven't found it. Sounds like since it's multiple ads, it's coming from some feed that's not labeled under the product names above, which I can't find. Nothing says Doggie Dentures. If you can copy the link or keep providing more info that will help. |

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I haven't heard an ad in a few days now. _________________ Jeffs

Just got Windows Phone ad again. Maybe I'll just post here every time it happens so you can see how ridiculously frequent this is happening for me. Most of the time I've resorted to viewing LG with the sound off to not be annoyed. |

Support finally found it, I think, and I've had to request that they remove this one. Normally, I have control over that but not this one. So, hopefully, they get that taken care of soon. |

Happening at a more frequent rate. Heavy offenders are Cadillac bros and Gwen stefani windows ad.
It's frustrating listening to music and having my music shut off on every pageview or reload automatically due to obtrusive auto play ads. |

Can you disable ads from the adap.tv network, or change your publisher settings to disallow autoplay ads, or require them be click to play. I've seen that option in numerous ad serving platforms in the past and think it could solve your problem.
The flash ad is converted to an html5 video, which makes the ad a QuickTime unit and plays the sound through the device's speakers automatically while underneath the 300x250 image preview, so you can't see it or control it. I believe it's adap.tv that is forcing them to auto play for more plays to inflate campaign performance. |

No that won't solve it, unfortunately.
Publisher settings HAVE ALWAYS been set so that autoplay ads are NOT allowed. Rogue ads get through the filters.
(Bolding and underlining that for others to see because it comes up frequently.)
I'll see if I can find where this is coming from. |

Thanks DB.
It appears to be just from adap and adtech. Nexage and Doubleclick/Google display ads aren't serving rich media or video ads on iOS, so those are good networks. Adap and adtech ads don't seem to be serving up for me right now, but I might have reached the daily frequency cap already, and will see them later this evening.
Edit: one minute later, I take that back. Cadillac strikes again. |

What's stupid is this was listed under some tech college campaign. Nothing like what you guys were describing. Sometimes these are tricky.
Now I need to see if I can track down the "1 weird thing" scammy ads. |
